Doesn't say what the charging curent is but as it only mentions the words trickle charger I wouldn't think its much good.Definitely over priced in the 1st place.

Its perfect for its use - a trickle charger that keeps the battery topped up on cars that are used rarely. I used to have an Elise whos alarm and tracker would drain its tiny battery if it wasn't used in 2 weeks. This would prevent that.

That orginal price is a ridiculous amount of money. Yes, it would be that price if it were to be made in UK, but these things are made in China. If you miss out on these from Tesco, Maplin always have these trickle solar charges for £9.99 on regular promotions. If you pay more for these you may as well use your 12 v battery charger and top up your battery for a few hours every fortnight!

Thinking about getting one of these for my small 15 ft open boat , to keep a battery for a pump topped up so it will always have power to pump out rainwater, reckon this would do the trick?
Of course a cover might be a more sensible solution

Looks like it could be the same panel as here http://www.fasteronline.co.uk/Ring-ring-solar-power-trickle-charger-p-5180.html?osCsid=f2b750ead7af4aec9f05b5d1c94ef5d2

in which case it charges at up to 100ma - should be enough to stop my dad's boat battery from going flat while the boat is laid up.

Bought one of these to trickle charge my car battery but output wasn't enough to cover drain from car alarm so returned to a flat battery anyway:x May be good enough for battery on a boat though without any drain on it
