Bought this little gadget for when I go camping, comes in really handy. You definitely need something with a bit of a kick in terms of power especially when charging an iPhone or other similar high powered device. The 2000mAh works a treat and for £8 delivered from the USA you can't go wrong..

Yep DealExtreme are based in Hong Kong and "The 2000mAh works a treat" seems a little premature as it has only just appeared today on their new arrivals page. It will be some weeks before people start receiving them and posting feedback. DealExtreme stuff is often brilliant but sometimes new products turn out to be somewhat lacking. I never rush to buy things from them until I have seen some reviews.

the 2000mAh refers to the built in battery's rating not the solar cell which is 500mA at 5 volts i.e. 2.5 watts

You know the answer already. It is too small. Will take days to charge.
What we need is a bigger 1W panel that will charge a LiIon phone battery directly.

Seems a bit pointless
