Got a couple of these to freak visitors out :) works from natural light and artificial lights. Just a fun little thing at a fun little cost :). Perfect for office pranks, pranking visitors etc.

Very small and spindley looking legs - can look realistic from the right height.

Great thing is - no batteries needed and at such a good price, easily replaced if stamped on!

Enjoy :)

Yeah for loads of stuff, it's a great site :). Delivery takes a little longer than others as it's coming from China but they are a good company.
#10
so, what do these do, jiggle, or actually walk?!
#11
they jiggle, they have a spinning motor which makes them vibrate
#12

bought a solar powered locust but that didn't work :(
#15
Aren't cockroaches largely nocturnal reducing credibility of said item?

******* EXTREME CAUTION ********** This is not a joke - my anti-virus (Comodo) has identified a number of infections on the page this deal leads to and on other DealExtreme pages too.
#17
A robot cockroach? I hope they've finally gotten the bugs out of it.

Ever heard of a false positive? Get a decent antivirus and you won't get those messages.

I,m not going to get into an argument about this but just for info it clearly identified 3 different infection (all clearly named) - you want to risk infections carry on as I didn't intend the caution for know it alls but for reasonable people :whistling:

I have been using DX for many purchases and not got a virus or anything, either Comodo is flipping out for no reason or there's been a recent compromise which I doubt as it's fine on Avast Web scan. Are you on Paranoid Mode by any chance?

As for this deal, voted cold for waste of space.

Comodo is a paranoid scanner.

Almost 6 week delivery here (back in August) and not what I ordered (one of their famed torches).

Pretty much the service you would expect from a chinatown marketstall. The torch WAS good, no way of knowing how it compared to what I actually ordered, but I'm not inclined to order again unless I want another 2 month wait and substituted product.

Comodo actually has a very good rep as a free software security suite.

How can an AV or FW program be paranoid? "I hate that Comodo, it always fears the worst..."

Bought about £40 worth of gun lighters for m8's for Xmas. Ordered them on the 14th of December and received them all on the 20th December. Faster delivery than a few UK company's i bought off around the same time.

Couldn't fault them, was a perfect transaction.

It's got a reputation for being hyper-sensitive from what I've read...
#28
Does anyone know if it stores the charge on a battery during the day? I like to do my scaring at nighttime.

When the sun shines on the solar panel, the panel makes electricity

I'd assume this means it doesn't have any batteries installed... so nope.

You've obviously never used it because it actually has a setting on the task bar icon called..you guessed it "Paranoid Mode" :w00t:

Ordered 1 - worth a laugh at the price
#32
Can only be used on uploaded files - but http://www.virustotal.com/
is a useful site. Problem seems to be that there always seems to be one AV engine that does not like a file. I use the Comodo Firewall with AVIRA free anti virus - works well.

Just a quick note for all dealextreme deals -

The current PayPal conversion rate is 1.55, so whatever the amount in dollars an item is, divide it by 1.55 to get it in GBP.
