The . Solar security spot light is easy to install as there is no wiring necessary. This solar powered security light automatically turns on when it detects motion at night. The Solar security spot light comes complete with a 5m cable.
was £54 save 40.50

Bought this from Tesco few weeks ago.. should be labelled as Security dot light. No better than the usual solar garden lights.

Sorry nickleface, thanks for the heads up but poor product :)

Why does it come with 5m of cable if there is no wiring necessary? :w00t:

Ah... just realised, it's for the solar panel.

Sorry Edi, but i'm going to have to disagree with you (... again:oops:).
I purchased this back in July and it does the trick for our garden (9m long x 3m wide).... perhaps not as powerful as a wired one - but still gives out a sufficient beam to alert you.
I'm pleasently surprised by how good it is, goes beyond my expectation.

The solar panel i have fixed in the optimum position, but no doubt through the winter, i will have to use a battery recharger instead of the solar panel.

Maybe not now!

heat added

We also brought one to replace an old halogen light, fine as a security light but we are also going to put in a mains powered light. It is less bright than a 40w light bulb!

voted cold as only 40w

I had one similar from another company but more than twice as expensive. OK not that bright but I'd only need it to find my keys or let me know someone was approaching. Heat added.

Well that didn't last long! I'd have given this a go too :(
