Be aware of the noise from the adjoining nightclub, though - went on till 5am last time we stayed there, and sleep was impossible.

I've stayed at the city road one at a weekend and it was fine, we didn't hear the nightclub at all? Guess it depends which room you get though?

Not if you actually need some sleep for something important the following day, it isn't! Cheap doesn't always mean bargain.

Warning on the Travelodge City Road page (and they don't put warnings unless it's pretty bad):

Important information

Due to the location of this hotel some exterior noise may be heard from traffic and nearby nightclubs.

thanks for the heads up just booked same week end of August at Docklands, where we have stayed many a time, for £130, parking £5/ 24 hours. Not quite as good as the week we got for £9 per night two years ago but bargain! ;)

Also, be aware that Travelodge has not been honouring its quidco. Quidco have been chasing them up for sometime on this. Mine is outstanding since September. So not enamoured with Travelodge.

we booked covent garden 31st august for 3 nights @ £29 per room - bargain.

I think this is a decent deal for central london

a few of the nights have increased slightly but still very cheap for London at that time of the year

Unfortunately i booked this hotel for 2 nts in September. I thought i got a bargain at £15 per night until i noticed the parking charges which are atrocious. Im really considering booking anothe hotel in London. I will be there for 3 days and don't fancy paying £108 to park my car. Does anyone else have an idea? Please don't say the train cos its a hired vehicle i'm taking which is already costing me £1000 for 2 weeks so id rather drive than waste the money with it sitting outside my house.

Which hotel is it?

Central London parking is going to cost a lot, wherever you stay (+ congestion charges) - would an outer London place do?
