A bit long winded but here is the way to get some decent discounts in Currys/PC World. As an example I took Sonos Play 1 speaker I'm after. Current Currys price with 2 years warranty and 12 months Deezer subscription is £169.
£169-
£10 O2 Priority discount, ongoing -
£10 Amex credit for £50 spend until 31.12.14
= £149
Other possible savings:
1.01% TBC cashback for R&C order
10p/litre fuel discount at Morrisons if you buy £100 Currys/PC World gift card and combine it with your Amex card payment.
This could work out cheaper than current Amazon.es deal :)
Enjoy!

So you have to be an O2 customer, have an Amex card and sell your soul to the devil by walking into a PC World store?

I'd rather pay £169.......

Op I was thinking the same, but my advantage is I planned to use both my wife and my Amex card making it £139. Heat added

Never tried it, but a possible workaround from MSE http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/o2#O2

O2 Priority Moments is a deals app for O2 smartphone users. It tends to run bespoke offers, which we think are subsidised from O2's marketing budget, so it sometimes has deals you can't get elsewhere. Deals may not be the same for everyone, as they're often based on your location.

O2 users can download it for free from Apple's App Store, Android Marketplace or Blackberry. If you're not on O2, there's a trick for you to get it on your smartphone too.

Not on O2? How to get it

O2 says anyone with an O2 mobile – including Pay and Go, Pay Monthly and business customers – is eligible to get it. So if you've ANY unlocked phone, it's easy.

1. Order a free Pay & Go Go Go Sim card from O2. Insert the Sim into your smartphone and activate it free (you need an unlocked mobile handset).

2. Connect to wi-fi, and download the Priority Moments app (Android, iOS/Blackberry).

3. Insert the Sim everytime you want to check for new deals. The app is meant to disappear if you insert other Sims, but we've tried it on a few unlocked handsets, and the app's stayed and is still usable.

That is true, O2 Priority app works fine on my T-Mobile phone, all it needs is active GPS and wifi/mobile data :)

So £10 off for Amex and £20 trade in for your wife. Hard to argue with that.

I'd rather buy beep.

Give it another 5 years & Sonos really won't seem that special, or be worth anywhere near its current price tag.

How to get a Play 1 for £139.00 - the mail order catalogue VERY.CO.UK are currently doing a £30.00 one off promotion deal on any item costing £60.00 or more if purchased on credit.

Simply pay off the first invoice in full and you save thirty quid. No need to buy anything else.

Discount code is 4QRCH to be used at checkout before 28/02/2015.

Free delivery if you choose their Collect+ system where goods are picked up from their network of collection points - such as local convenience stores.

The Sonos Boost for £49 (after deal applied) is particulary attractive.

Or order a free sim and not top it up for the first ;)

SONOS don't support the BBC iPlayer/radio player to stream radio shows that you may have missed!
Oh dear! Big fail in my opinion unless someone knows it is on its way?

It does, Just select Tunein and type the show you want in the search bar and it comes up with the latest episode.
I tried with BBC Radio 4 "Friday Night Comedy" and it works just fine.

I have spotted the Tunein APP and saved a few favourite and local radio stations. Not as good or as flexible as the iPlayer/Radio player but it'll do for now. Apparently Sonos are in talks with the BBC to implement its use into the Sonos controller. Let's hope for an announcement soon.
Just picked up a Play 5 for £244.30 (30% off) using the JOHN LEWIS employee offer! Nice piece of kit. Offer extended until this weekend for any employee or designated second card holder who wants a Sonos item for 30% off.
