It's a good price for the item but for me the poor battery life lets it down. The screen is a big bonus though so horses for courses. And yes I know it's the same basic spec as other cheaper netbooks but some people like Sony and are happy to pay the Sony premium.

Edit to say it was £399.99 which is far far too much!

I have one, paid £279 for the XP version back in October last year.

Most people only seem to report about 2 hours battery life and slowed down by driving more intensive graphics.

Mine will go for the 3hrs quoted, it all depends on usage. Having said that mine has Windows 7, I think XP is worse the battery useage.

Not sure if this is same spec

Seems a bit cheaper

looks like you pay a premium to have the sony name on the lid but for those who care guess its an ok price.

Actually your paying a premium for the HD 1366 x 768 LED screen, most other netbooks have cramped 1024 x 600 screens.

Very expensive for what it is if you ignore the brand on the lid.

gotta be the Dell Mini 10 V

can run Windows, Linux and Mac OSX - how versatile is that?
