what do you use +R's for?
#4
You DVD drive needs to be capable of reading and writing +R's not -R's :)

I guess on Pcs should work fine anyways.

Dunno if dvd players support them, but surely you can find out that looking your dvd players docmntation. In the past dvd+r was more widely supported for home dvd players but nowdays is the same.

Other say the dvd+r have better eroor correction when buning to it..

Also xbox 360 seems to recognise backups on them but i think you need dual layer for it anyway.

i ll try to add you heat and buy them:D

DVD-R does not support multisession - effectively write once (disk-at-once).
DVD+R supports multisession - you can add more data to disk later (track-at-once).

DVD+R can be recorded in disk-at-once mode, effectively becoming DVD-R.
Some players do not support track-at-once mode and are labeled at DVD-R only. I have not seen a player that would recognize DVD+R from DVD-R, if disk was burned in disk-at-once mode with book forced to DVD-ROM.

I think it was the other way around. DVD-R was widely supported by players and DVD+R was for data.

Does not make a difference now. Nero will force all burns to DVD-R type when DVD Video is selected for compatibility reasons.

I don't think this is a hot deal as Poundstretchers sells the verbs 50 pack for £7.99.

Only convenient for people who wants it deliver. I rate verbs higher than sony on this.

Hot from me.

:)

Showing for me as "Out of stock - Back order"

If your drive supports it you can select bitsetting on programs like Nero to change the Booktype on DVD+R discs to DVD ROM which makes them pretty much universally accepted by all DVD players and ROM drives. This cannot be done with DVD-R's. I only use DVD+R's but then it's only my preference.
NEC DVD drives can alter the booktype permanently by modifying/flashing the firwmare (Liggy and Dee's website) so that all DVD+R's burned come out as DVD ROMS.

funnily multi session on -'s has been working fine for me for years???????

these are a complete ripoff I usually pay no more than £6 for 50 FFPs, either Aone, Infiniti or Ritek, never had a coaster yet.
