Sounds like a great deal to me, wonder if it will be available online from tomorrow?

Have you tried it?? It's only for slected viewing, you still watch these TVs as normal TVs for the majority of the time, but I found once I tried it out in the shop I just had to have one!! :)
There is quite a lot of content that can be freely downloaded from the net (film trailers and the like - Avatar trailer looks awesome in 3D!) but only a small amount of films available so far :(
Sky's 3D channel starts very soon, so while this isn't for everyone, I strongly suggest going to try it out and having a demo! I still think it's very impressive technology and everyone who's tried it out on my TV have been suitably impressed :)

I'm a sucker for a gadget but surely the point is that without the content you are paying in advance for nothing really. When content is available the TV sets will be more reasonably priced won't they? (assuming their prices move like most other electrical goods)

I personally don't count content as being film trailers!

Sky Sports 3D is now up and running and there are a few games also available in 3D.

Of course if you wait there will plenty more content to watch and play, also the prices will be cheaper, but if you're in the market for a new tv then you'd be silly not to look at 3DTV's (even if you're only slightly interested) rather than buying a new 2D TV and then being gutted 6 months from now..

Betamax/Laserdisc anyone?
