Musta changed then cos I got it for £599 delivered last week
This just isn't a deal or anywhere near a bargain. Its been £599 at most retailers the past couple of months and it will drop again to that price in the Christmas Sales. To put this price in perspective I got my 40v4000 for £535 at Comet two weeks ago.

Voted cold sorry.

Also a clue to the price dropping again is the fact it is out of stock everywhere, many Currys stores don't have it on display at the moment and stocks been withdrawn to its main warehouses whilst it appears on their books at this silly price. This way when it returns to stores at £599 or less they claim its a £100 saving even though it was never properally on sale at that price. The wonders of retail. They know few people will buy it at that price so simply keep the stock back. This is common practice for sales, DFS also do it with their Sofa sales.
I am sure they were selling this TV a couple of days ago in my local Makro on "special offer" for £499" + the dreaded vat but I have to say they had a PS3 set up playing the latest Gran Tourismo & the picture was awesome as realistic driving thro the alps as you can get.

They were selling well.

No idea bout Stand Def TV pics as most of us would be watchin though !!
Standard Defs not bad on this set but poor feeds on certain Sky Channels really stick out like a sore thumb, others look pretty darned good though.
