Can't be right, but there it is!

(it does mention 32" LCD in the blurb, so do take care!)

Thanks bellboys :) Nice find and go for it, but it could be another big misprice, so don't expect it.
#2
Its £1329 at Dixons & £1414 at Currys so I confidently predict trouble on the horizon for anyone buying this from here at that price .
#3
Gotta be in it to win it (he says clutching his Kodak camera)!!

Spotted on MSE too. Got order number and printed out confirmation screen. you never know, might just be shifting old Bravia models to make way for the new ones.

Fingers crossed but not hopeful. ;)
#4
Yeah :) best not to get your hopes up, then you won't be disappointed should it go the way of previous DSG mispriced stuff.

Nothing to lose if you can afford it and want one though.
#5
 Hasn't stopped me ordering it though
#6
Did anyone ever get that £1 TV ?
#7
Even if it's a 32" it is still a very good price [if their desciption is wrong].
#8
Well, I had some spare money knocking around so went for it. This must surely be a misprice, it can't be a clearance item when it costs so much more at every other retailer. Not going to be too upset if it doesn't work out, but I was looking to get a second LCD for my utility room and if this works out perhaps I'll use the money saved to buy a PS3!!!
#9
Just so everyone knows :

3 e-mails means nowt so you ain't going to get it even if you do threaten court action & all that baloney .
#10
it says contrast ratio 800:1 is that right? any thoughts, thanks
#11
That 800:1 ratio is part of the wrong description they have included for this 40" set. The 40" TV we are all getting has a 1300:1 ratio!
#12
Is this really worth the grief. We ain't gonna get it.
Currys sell the same model for just over £1400:-

Same group of companies.

Correct, if it was the 32" model of the same line of TV as the 40", then the average price is about £800.00.

In any case, I predict a few cancellation emails tomorrow. Not pinning my hopes on anything too special happening but it's worth a chance!

Yea go on, if you want a laugh :giggle:
You have nothing to lose and nothing to gain (maybe) :p
#21
Something Positive... maybe...?

Take a look at all of the Sony LCD televisions on the PC World site.

On the description part, ALL OF THEM have that copied and pasted text referencing the 32" size.

This applies to the 40" and 46" tv sets.

The prices seem correct to me on all of the other sets, so perhaps this one is correct as well?

Here's hoping anyway!!!
#22
surely if this mis pricing happened in a shop they would have to honour the price??

Or am I just clutching at straws!!...

Interesting that the second link on google ads is to eBay and there are no listings. If this deal comes off, I have a feeling that may change soon!

#31
I've ordered one to see what happens - also used code YAWF07 to get price down to £479.93 delivered, but I doubt anything will come.
#32
dammit, i couldnt see a code! grrr
#33

lol, well on the plus side, they may want proof for that other code that you work for healthcare or whatever it was for, just as a get out clause.

but then, i was on phone to trading standards the other day, the company is totally within its rights to cancel all orders, it doesnt have to honour anything, only more as a guesture of good will. They can even put the price up and ask you for more money or give you the option of cancelling if they see fit.
#36
Damn I see a cancellation coming on.. oh well it was nice to imagine for a while!
#37
i am stuck at the checkout part where you fill in your card details

"shall i"

will take about a week for them to refund us wouldn't it?
#38
well its worth a go keep fingers crossed :giggle:
#39
not sure if they even take the money until the third email
#40
btw, if we do get this, i think we all owe the OP (bellboys) a tenner!
