50Hz.

This TV is pretty much the same as the 40EX401, just cosmetically different.
Only negative is no MKV playback via USB, but that's not a major issue for most.

EDIT: I should ass to my post,i wos in costco on sunday and i always check the tv sets out and they had this tv listed for £350 without VAT as sony are giving back the VAT i thought it was a extremely good deal at the time, and had i needed a tv i would have most definatly have got one for myself.

Better tp pay extra for built in Freeview HD as TVs with only basic freeview will quickly become old-hat and therefore much cheaper in new year. A good buy at Costco though and worth paying to join as still cheaper than Sainsburys and always other good deals there.

My mate got this tv from tesco for about £400 a couple of months ago. I was very impressed with it. The picture looks good through standard freeview and fifa is good to play on it too. I was thinking of getting this one myself as I was so impressed with his.

Sony BX models are "Phoney Sonys" and not made by Sony. The smaller ones are definitely Beko. The larger ones are of Polish origin. There seems to be an opinion that consequently they are made by Funai.

There are better 40" tv sets out there for the same money.

Toshiba 40" with full HD and Freeview HD for 399.99 at PC world.

As stated, the BX Sony's are not the best and i think someone posted a Sony EX 401 at this price today too, which i believe is a better TV

Ah fair enough. I can get this (or the Samsung LE40C530 I mentioned) for £340 at the moment, but I think I'm swaying more towards the Samsung, it seems the better TV overall.

It;s a Sony so if we buy this before boxing day don'y you get the VAT back off sony? If so, then surely this is looking hot!
