I read on MSE that this could be bought over the counter at Boots
#4
The only downside of this deal being that you may accidentally end up listening to the anodyne dirge from SugaBabes PLC :p
Tip: Immediately format on receiving item

Hot for a High store price. But can find cheaper USB sticks elsewhere on the net (assuming you don't want the music). Voted hot from me

Whilst I have an alternative taste in music myself, and generally dont listen to a lot of "corporate" bands, how is this fashionable? It's just a promotion with a popular band on it is all, not like the USB stick is emblazened with a Sugababes logo on it.

For a high street store flogging a branded, vista ready boost 4GB memory stick for £4.99 is an exceptional deal, and voted hot as such.

Try to think "outside the box" here! You buy, you format, its a good price, its a hot deal, regardles of your or mine opinions of Sugababes (I still think Heidi is hot though!)

As its a sugarbabes stick they will be getting a cut and chartplace of the sale so I shant be buying this as it gives them more chance to release another album which could entertain them "fashionable" types in the poncey coffee shops and wine bars.

Then don't buy it, how are you sure they will get a chartplace from the sale anyway? No need to go into those wine bars if you dont like them, I dont, I dont listen to Sugababes, but I like bargains....if out of "principle" you refuse to buy and format this then its available at more cost at Play for exactly the same stick for £4 more.....

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/6364381/Sony-USM4GL-Micro-Vault-Click-4GB-USB-Flash-Drive/Product.html

I will be getting mine from Boots instore if I can, and saving the £4 to spend on something else, whilst still avoiding the poncy types in wine bars.

2009 is no different to 1974 Bay City Rollers or Sugababes....regardless of what music you like, you cant change mass marketing and influence others against fashionable music, just dont listen to it, and buy what you like yourself...you are never going to make an impact though..it takes a music revolution to make changes, and theres little of that going on right now.

Still wouldnt kick Heidi Range outta bed though lol.

As usual Banjo is a complete ******, but it raised a good point!
Does buying this count as an album sale for Sugababes? If so this is one of the cleverest bits of marketing I've ever seen! Preload a USB stick with an album and sell it at cost price in the thousands. I bet 95% won't care about the music, but if it counts as an album sale then really clever stuff
#16
Do I Tunes count towards chart rank? If so then I don't see why this wouldn't, your still purchasing the album just on a different media.

Are the sugar babes popular amongst wine bar goers? I thought sugar babes was just for kids. Though what do I know about modern music, I'm still stuck in the 60s/70s. :)

Just got mine from boots in Braehead Glasgow, it was at the back at the photography bit, it wasn't with the other usb's, it was on a stand next to the counter. Thanks op, great price!

Don't stores have to be registered with the charts company for it to affect chart sales? If that is the case, I highly doubt boots will sign up.

Plus wikipedia suggests that USB sticks don't count.

Voted hot thanks

Who gives a foook what it's got on it.

It's a bargain.

Burn the music to a CD and give it to someone. Or just give the USB Stick with the music on as part of a present.

Too many moaners on here!!

I think that's illegal as only the owner of the memory stick Is allowed to keep the burnt or copied versions of the album.

If you have such a dislike for this deal - why did you click on it in the first place????

It's a great price for a 4GB and even for the album for those people that aren't so pretentious they worry about being cool enough to think everything is ****!

They aren't my cup of tea either - but each to their own - and not bad role models for youngsters compared to the likes of Amy Winehouse or Lily Allen.

Lol at least Amy Wino and Lilly Allen write some of there own stuff.

I'm pretty sure that the original selling price of this was £24.99...

I fogrot to mention that i have got this USB-stick from the local Boots store and there were plenty of them. there were also regular 4 gig Sony USB-Sticks for about £32 :? I doubt that Sugababes can be a big bonus (though they seem to be ok :whistling:), but this stick has 5 years warranty and has special software that shrinks up to 30% of the data so its belived that you can dowload even more then 4 gig.
#31
hot price. just what i was looking for

Fool its a good price even inc delivery, have ordered 4 at this price - still £2 delivery that brings em out at £5.71(ish) each for SONY 4gb usb its a bargain deal well found. They will be formatted so who cares if it comes with free pants music? its soon removed.

A good deal found should be voted hot & rep added. Look at the bigger picture and the value of the deal found:prop:

Bearing in mind that the current line-up of the Sugababes is: Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range
& Amelle Berrabah, here is the track-listing for "Catfights & Spotlights" (and writing credits)...

"Girls" (Allen Toussaint, Anna McDonald, Nicole Jenkinson)
"You on a Good Day" (Klas Åhlund, K. Buchanan)
"No Can Do" (Jason Pebworth, Jon Shave, George Astasio, Geeki)
"Hanging on a Star" (J. Pebworth, J. Shave, G. Astasio, Geeki, K. Buchanan)
"Side Chick" (K. Åhlund, Alex Purple, K. Buchanan)
"Unbreakable Heart" (K. Åhlund, Max Martin)
"Sunday Rain" (Steve Booker, Karen Poole, K. Buchanan, H. Range, A. Berrabah)
"Every Heart Broken" (K. Åhlund)
"Beware" (K. Åhlund, A. Berrabah)
"Nothing's as Good as You" (J. Pebworth, J. Shave, G. Astasio, Geeki)
"Sound of Goodbye" (S. Booker, K. Poole, K. Buchanan)

Karen Poole's compositions [although I used to have a vested interest here due to my involvement with Alisha's Attic] are always worth the price of an album on their own. As this one is effectively free, it is a "double bargain"! :)

If the UK CD bonus tracks are included on the memory stick, then you will also get the following two tracks [including a track co-written by Cathy Dennis; she has a very long history of popular tracks as well as a successful pop career too]...

About You Now" (Acoustic Version) (Cathy Dennis, Lukasz Gottwald)
"She's Like a Star" (with Taio Cruz) (Taio Cruz)

Also accessible from the CD is the following...

"Girls" (Klas Åhlund re-work, digital download accessed via Enhanced CD section)

The Sugababes are not planning to tour next year & they are planning to write material for one further album before Keisha is due to go to University. If she decides to go (subject to examination results, & an offer of a place, of course), the group may be put "on hold" for 3 years.

They may not be to everyone's taste, but you cannot deny they have been somewhat successful within the UK, and overseas. Not to the same level as the Spice Girls, or Bananarama, but an all-female group that the UK can be proud of.

BFN,

fp.
