49" might help the post if you add it to the title.

It's always being bumped to £799, then put on a lightning deal. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time.

This is model KD49XD7004BU. This one is almost always the one on sale. Would have been a great deal if it had been KD49XD8088BU

I'd pick this TV over the KS7000 tbh, I don't think the KS7000 is worth the price, also Android TV has more content than Tizen... even if it's a bit slower. As for HDR this TV does it just as good but what I prefer is there is no attempt at edge lit local dimming. The KS7000 you notice the backlight so much as it tries to local dim, where as this TV is very uniform and it's less distracting. Also I've had 2 KS7000's, both with Dead Pixels, but this TV has none which is a big benefit. The motion handling is also better on this TV, it's less blurry, though apparently input lag is slightly higher, but I'm not noticing it on console.

The biggest downside though is the speakers are useless, I have my own sound system so I do not care, but the KS7000 has much better built in sound.

Yep saw the coop deal had Amazon vouchers to spend unfortunately, bit of impulse, saw it flash up with 2016, so hit buy, lol. Though the Amazon order page went straight to preparing for dispatch, wouldn't let me cancel, had a word with online rep, he said he could potentially cancel when it went to the despatch stage, will have to see, really wanted the xd one, still seems like a good tv though, will probably give it go, if it arrives, as 550 is still a good price for 4k set with all these features, reviews seem okay, always good and bad.

This appears to be an 8+2 bit panel whereas the Samsung ks7000 are 10 bit

Will, my family be bothered about whether it's 10 or 8 plus 2 or even care, been trawling through, which set is better for weeks, which ever meets your needs and budget at the time. I hate buying a new tv or laptop, add another 50 quid here or 150 you can get this, or better. lol arguing myself out of the 8 series as, a this on will probably meet my needs.

Any chance of explaining how will this will make any difference, since both TVs are capable of displaying 1,073,741,824 colours?
