I Have a Panasonic Mini DV camcorder, I used JVC tapes last year and they damaged my camera heads. I researched the web and found information that some Mini DV tapes are manufactured with 'dry' or 'wet' tape, apparently Panasonic Mini DV tapes are the wet type. Does anyone know if they have used Sony Mini DV tapes in a Panasonic camcorder and if they worked okay or were there any problems?

Very good find!

Good brand, good quality. Like dcx_badass says these still out perform HDD and Memory Card capture formats.
But as MarvinHC implies, the new formats are flying out from production - new HDD and Memory Card options almost every month!

Cheers

Excellent, I was just looking at getting some of these off ebay but this is a much better deal. Thanks!!!!

Good deal.
I never re-use the tapes as I read that it can cause problems in the future so it's always good to stock up on these.

Just bought these, only ever had a 10 pack of them since I got my camera a few years ago so these will last me another 5 years. I'm pretty sure my camera is panasonic and never noticed any problems, not that the image quality compares to what we're used to with HD these days anyway, but it's fine for me.

Love the fact that people ALWAYS jump in these threads to slate the format with no knowledge of just how good it is

Good deal, got some from a previous Amazon "give away" (£2.66 for 5) but you can never have enough of a good thing!!!

Also 12GB for an hour footage!

A good reason not to film pointless long segments of babies doing very little (not that it stopped my wife :whistling:)

Great Deal,

I've used these tapes at work everyday for the past few years and never had a problem with a single one. Having had many problems with other manufacturers like maxell and jvc.

These tapes may have been around a long time, but they are still by far the best option for the semi pro and home user in my opinion. The quality I get out of these tapes and my hvr-v1e is outstanding.

Dispatched already, thanks again OP!

It's the same seller actually...but the special offer has been and gone, now it's up to £7.09..... still a pretty decent deal though.

The first poster is correct, they were sold by amazon.co.uk & now they've sold out it's gone to the cheapest marketplace seller.
