Given the choice between this and an 8GB Ipod Nano at a similar price why would you not buy the Nano?
#2
Because the Sony is easier to use, in my opinion better sound quality and certainly comes with better earphones.

Better screen, better sound quality and comes equipped with excellent headphones which cost £30ish on their own and the advantage of not using the rubbish itunes

The fact that we as consumers HAVE a choice is precisely why people do choose this over an Ipod Nano. Sony MP3/4 players since finally ditching the sonicstage in favour of MTP has been brilliant.

Sound quality, screen quality, build quality, heapdphone quality....all reasons I can think of for buying a Sony over the Nano. Not also to mention that it has a bigger screen and comes in at £30 cheaper than an 8GB Nano at least at Argos prices, and offers better quality for far less.
cost, a no brainer to the music rather than Apple lover.

Personally though, I don't see anything over the NWZA818 thats been on offer at Play and Amazon for £69.99 here, and looks a tad nicer in my opinion.

At the risk of inflaming everyone who loves Apple I also hate itunes - it just wants to load up every time everything media related is displayed.... I think its great if you are not very familiar with using PCs but if you are then its just a nuisance..

I'd choose this over the equivalent Apple iPod too having already bought a NWZ-A815 from Argos for £20 a while back. Sony MP3 players have come along in leaps and bounds and you can't just assume that the equivalent iPod will be far superior both in terms of usability and sound quality like you may have done in the past.
