impressive spec and a price to match Nikon.... I guess great deal if you already have compatible lens. I would like to try out the viewfinder; it will have to be pretty special to match the Nikon full frame ones. I believe the EVF does show though on the fly changes to exposure etc so this could be useful especially when shooting in the evening/at night.

I seem to be having a problem putting the discount code in. Every time I try to enter it the discount box and recalculate disappears.

I just tried it again, all working fine for me.
Once the discount is applied the discount box does disappear but it says "Voucher SONYBF10 was applied to this order" and the overall price is adjusted

You may need some photography training, some lighting, a couple of flashes, some backdrops, a registered company, etc.

Don't Sony make the sensor for Nikon SLR's???????.
Also you can use Zeiss and Minolta lenses as well, as Sony bought Minolta out.
So with all that in mind I would say for the price it's better than any Nikon.

Yeah many sensors, from the nikon lineup come from Sony, but they never managed to replicate the quality that the Nikon manage to pull out from the same sensors, this camera is a all around multimedia camera, whilst the Nikon D600 is a photographic workhorse, dont get me wrong but all this translucent pr bs wont last long, Fuji is doing a much better job with the x-trans sensors.

I know what you mean, i think camera's are getting too clever for their own good.
I have the last generation traditional DSLR with the Alpha 850.
I love it, but people say it hasn't got video on it and it's only 3fps.

Have not checked the specs of this model, but when I decided down the Nikon route, there was a very nice a700 from Sony.
The basic tradeoff (given that Nikon use Sony senors) was in body stabilisaton vs better ISO and ADL on the Nikon.

With zoom lenses with VR, the Nikon is better, with fast primes, it is more of a trade-off depending on subject matter.

These days Nikon's ISO performance is such, you could argue it is even better than stabalisation.
