Well, AA batteries just seem to be on offer after offer at the moment and for a mainstream brand, I can't see this one being beaten!
Even cheaper than my deal on Kodak Max AA's at Directfoto or MX2. This said, I have not seen any review material on Sony brand and have not tried them for myself (too loaded up with Kodaks!)
.
Aghhh - I have just noticed - these are NOT Alkaline. Apologies for the unfair comparison with the Kodak's which ARE alkaline. Still a steal at the price and are fine for anything other than fast-drain loads

alot better than poundland cause the ones from poundland are really old.
#8
Unless you can walk to pondland or are going anyway it's cheaper to have them delivered
#9
This is turning into a nice debate about whether it's best to have a Poundland or not for the sake of saving 49p.

dca860: Nice corn snake dude.

Decent deal, but I wouldn't by too many packs these heavy duty batteries can leak if left in storage too long. I think Aldi's do 16 AAs Memorex alkaline for about £2.50.

Always found Sony brand to be as good, if not better, than some other leading brands.

these batteries are ZINC not Alkaline so will not last in high drain devices

mAh table:
2700 (alkaline)
1100 (carbon–zinc)
3000 (Lithium–FeS2)
1700–2900 (NiMH)
600–1000 (NiCd)

Why is lomoruk being victimised here?
#27
i got some of these from pound land and the only thing they are good for are remotes as they did not even let me turn my camera on and went dead very quickly in my 360

if you want to save money get some decent rechargeables they have saved me ££££
#28
I did not see these in my local Poundstretcher..........Anyway, I heard a rumour the other day that Poundstretcher were going to merge with Marks and Spencers! The new chain will be called 'Stretch Marks!'...........:-D

ROFL that's most of the UK covered then :-D
#30
They're not in poundstretcher they're in poundland, two totally different shops. Picked up a pack of these a while ago as spares while my rechargeable ones are charging, that's about all they are useful for.
#31
Just bought 3 sets, voted hot ty
#32
Good for remotes, clocks, and other low drain electronics.

alot better than poundland cause the ones from poundland are really old.

Ah that might explain why they are so rubbish, they hardly lasted any time in my stuff and refused to even switch on a friends small digital camera.
#34
ive had these from poundland before and never again maybe it is because they are old but either way there pretty useless apart from like remotes that by the time you change them you would have forgot when you put them in.

my pc mouse dies in a day with these.
#35
Voted hot . I bought one set .
#36
Voted hot, for this price delivered, saves the time and hassle of actually leaving my comfy chair...

Is this a trustworthy site? Looks a bit dodgy to me ... like one of those sites designed to get the card details of people by offering loss leading deals

.... THAT answers your question. This site is full of people like luoruk, making unneccessarily snide remarks.

i bought 8 duracell from Wilkinson for 2.99 they were on bogogf

The Sonys are not alkaline - so a big "no" to your questions.
But at £2.99 for 8, I'd look at the Kodak MAX alkalines (also posted by your's truly) where you get 24 for £3.99 delivered (MX2 or Direcfoto)
