Good camera.
#2
The lens alone costs over £150

that's a decent camera deal! I have the nex 5t and it takes some ace pictures. (complete amateur in photos so not the most informed of opinions!)
#4
Also bought the nex-5t on the Amazon deal a few months ago, only problem is the lens are pretty pricey vs cannon/Nikon.
#5
I thought the 16-50mm lens is pretty basic piece of kit?

yes thats if you buy it 'alone' but unbundled are much less

think at this price id wait for a5100 to be 299 again or go for eg the samsung deal going currently

You're welcome.

I've purchased this camera under this deal. It's had really good reviews, and I've seen it in action and would have to agree.

In regards to the suggestion of going with the Samsung nx3000 deal instead, I'd have to disagree. That camera has auto focus issues.

The a5100 would be my ideal choice, but its a bit more, and I'm not so in to photography that the difference between the two would be a deal breaker.

hot!

Now only available at john lewis for £233, not sure how long price will last.

Kidstart cashback available for john lewis

If you can't get the a5100 for £299, this is a great price. From what I have read the a5100 is quite a bit ahead of this model, particularly when it comes to the sensor.
