The price is actually £275.04 including delivery... I rather go for the PC World deal which comes with a free bag for just an extra £10.

Yeah true, what I actually meant was your getting a bag for an extra £10. Bags these days for Digital SLR are really exspensive unless bought with the camera in some kind of package deal.

I bought this camera last week from Warehouse Express on a price match from another site, which worked out at £285.

Haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet but, my initial thoughts over my D40 was the body didn't seem as 'nice' and the button placement is somewhat less intuitive than the D40 IMO.

Good points are the IS on the camera seems superb, really is possible to get non-blurred shots with a steady hand at high stop.

The kit lens seems ok although a little soft around the edges at full whack but the camera is a good one.

You should be able to get a price match on this for 125%.

BTW - Mymemory or 7dayshop for cheap CF cards.

If you're like me, gadgetry isn't what you buy an SLR for; you just want great pictures. The Sony A200 delivers. It works very well, is easy to understand and use, and most importantly it produces great images. The technological gadgetry that it does have is all directed toward that purpose, and Sony's execution is excellent. In that respect the Sony A200 reminds me a lot of the Canon 20D: not designed to impress with anything but its ability to make great images.

Seems a good camera now is it worth splashing out for mmm

Not a bad price .. but the noisy shutter would do my head in.

My advice .. go and try them in somewhere like Jessops (including Nikon, Canon etc.), don't impulse buy on price alone.... get the camera that suits you best.

It looks like the camera is £279.99 with delivery (£275.04 for the camera and £4.95 delivery).

It's the same price at Amazon

Thank you

pity there is not any discounts for this shop :(

I just bought one of these from jessops, where they were £299, but came with a decent lowepro bag, I went for a package deal with a 2Gb 150x CF card and a UV filter to protect the front of the lens, for £329 all in. . . I have to say it takes a cracking picture, is full of all the right features, and is very intuitive to use. . . Buy one, you wont be disappointed. And at this price its a steal.

the Oly e-510 has been discounted to £ 399 now with twin lens kit.

that has to be the bargain of the century for a semi pro SLR with 2 high quality lens, liveview, more features than anything else.

however, I do also fancy the Sony a350, with a better live view than the Oly, but its around £ 600 now, as just come out.

realistically, for 99% of users, something like the a200 is more than they will ever need...

interestingly, I find Oly cameras to look and feel solid, whilst the other main brand names, all feel very plastically, even the sony ones, which suprised me, looked kinda toyish.....

very cheap for whats on offer....... however people often overlook the quality of the kit lens, most of the time they are merely average......

no doubt a good slr, but lens quality is merely average on these.......

All pics taken with my e-510, which has Leica designed kit lens as standard..........
