Thanks for posting, image added :)
This camera takes Sony E-Mount lenses, not Alpha mount, despite it's name!
Good luck finding any stock :)
Good luck finding any stock :)

Out of the seven stores nearest to me where I am at the moment Newbury, five had stock.
Is it as good as...? Nikon D3100?
Plenty in South it as good as a Nikon D3100?....I've got a Nikon D3000 and an A3000 and I like both, the Sony is more like a super compact camera , which is what it is, and the D3000 is a proper DSLR camera but the results are similar, the Sony is lighter and easier to use and understand but perhaps more limiting if you're an aspiring photgrapher.Worth remembering lenses are generally more expensive for the Sony and, if your happy with refurbished stuff, the Sony Outlet store usually sells A3000 for £169.99. That's were I got mine and it was mint. I doubt you'd be disappointed with either.
The A3000 is a fantastic camera, I own one & an NEX 5, so I use E mount lenses. Superb sensor & great detail.
Sony have put low-res screen and viewfinder on this otherwise capable camera - may change how you rate this camera.
