Struggling to find it?

I bought a Sony A200 two years ago for the same price. A cracking camera back then and now, I can only imagine this is similarly great (although I have since dropped out of reading camera reviews for 12/24 hours a day!)

I can't see the price online though?

Me either. Shame as would have been tempted at that price.

I'm having trouble finding this too...is it on the Jessops website or an instore clearance?

These Sony's are cracking cameras, but if your looking to buy a broad range of lenses and accessories in the future you'd be better off with Canon/Nikon.

Where's the Deal ????

Show me a sub-£250 Nikon DSLR deal and I'll vote it hot!

Don't entirely disagree but its worth remembering these Sony cameras easy to use with all the older Konica Minolta equipment.

Surely the Alpha range are a better bet. There are loads of Sony lenses around now and they also take the old Minolta/Konica lenses. So you can decent second hand cheaper lenses for the Sony than for the likes of Nikon/Canon.

why are you all voting hot for something you cant buy , they have not got this instore or online

I bought this camera body only for £199 a couple of months ago. When I went back in two days later, they'd dropped it to £150! I enquired about their returns policy and they agreed to refund the £50. £249 isn't as good as my deal, but it's still not bad. This will be hard to find though. I looked in a few other stores for another £150 body for my sister and couldn't find one anywhere.

It's an 'old' model by the way. Sony seem to have been releasing new ones all the time over the past couple of years.

After months and months of indecisiveness, bored sick or reading and watching reviews, fed up of everyones differing opinions I've bitten the bullet and bought this, my first DSLR.
It seams to be a good entry point into the SLR territory for not a lot of money.
So thank you for the post liam1 :)

If you want to spend your life savings buying Canon/Nikon lenses because every lens needs to have Optical Stabilisation because there is no in body stabilisation. It is the great CaniKon (Canon-Nikon-Con), I have the new A580 which is half the price of a Canon 7D/Nikon D7000 and the image quality is neck and neck.

That's why all the pros use Sony.

Oh no... hang on a minute!
