* Dual SD/SDHC and Memory Stick Duo Compatibility

Bought this in July and its a fantastic camera. We are really pleased with it.We used it to take Black and White photos at a wedding in September and the results (with lightroom) were awsome.Don't hesitate if you are thinking about it.Really good value for money at this price.

* Quick AF Live View – Live on-screen preview

Is this the onscreen viewfinder view that ordinary digital cameras have that most DSLRs don't?

I have just reserved this in Cardiff to collect in store and have a free 1x Velbon DF-50 Tripod. So £329 for camera and tripod.

well worth getting and worth the extra cash to get the free tripod and the live view but getting a390 and not a290.

plenty of old minolta, sigma and tamron lenses for this Alpha camera too

The 18-55 lens gives a better picture from my experience. the 18-55 version is the same price but the 18-70 version comes with a free tripod.

I agree with above comment
Good deal ,though the 18-70 lens is a very old and it wouldnt do justice to the 14.2 mp ccd sensor size ,so you would have to upgrade to a better lens pretty soon. the newer

so review for lens here

You all will not regret buying a Sony camera.Glad to see peeps not going for the usual Nikon/Canon camera.I own the Sony A700 & will probably upgrade when the new Sony A7** is finally released.

Also do yourself and camera a favour and get the famous Minolta AF 70-210 F4 (beercan) lens...you will not regret it.!
