Superb blu ray player with excellent reviews. Not as many features as are now commonplace, but great picture quality and very reliable.

There's a similar deal for a Samsung player which is also posted on here, but with the mixed reviews and reliability concerns this might win a few others over.

Last time I checked I could reserve in Ashford, Basildon & Lakeside. Haven't checked outside of the South East.

http://www.sony.co.uk/product/blu-ray-disc-player/bdps360b.cek

EDIT

Just had a phone call from the Ashford store to say that they haven't actually got any, so might be an idea to give each store a call before you reserve. I doubt they're all helpful enough to actually call you themselves.

Walk away unknown brand - you can get an Onkyo for the same price.

(well somebody was going to do it sooner or later)
#2
not many in stock though, Blackburn, Bolton, Doncaster all do !
#3
I have this BluRay player and i'll honestly say this price is about what it's worth really. I.m not sure if it's a standard thing on BluRay players but it is very slow at loading films etc.

this is quicker than some....had a sharp bh21 and i couldnt have cooked and eaten my dinner by the time it had loaded! have the sony 350 is miles quicker....suspect the 360 is same or quicker

think there were some teething probs with the 360 when it came out- dunno if theyve been resolved

They are all pretty slow (PS3's about the quickest). What Hi-Fi thought it was a 5 star player at £240: http://www.whathifi.com/Review/Sony-BDP-S360/ "It’s nigh-on impossible to gripe with what’s on offer here for £240"

Hot price - old model but still good value for your £70

Have you set the BDP-S360 to load quicker. (6 secs)

This blu ray players is fantastic and for people who say its OK for an old model LOL if only you knew how to work this machine to its capabilities.

Never mind some people dont understand technical machines
#9
Just reserved the last one at Rotherham....what are the chances it has 'disappeared' when I get there tomorrow?
#10

Address ... PC WORLD, UNIT 3
SPRIGKERSE RETAIL PARK
MUIRTON ROAD

I've got one of these and can't fault the picture or sound quality - it looks superb.
It feels nicely built and I think looks better than the 370 that's replaced it.
The time taken to boot up and start playing a disk isn't brilliant but that's the same for most Blu-Ray players

Fantastic player, incredible price! I spent a lot more on it just a few weeks ago and thought that was worth it!
#19
Great price. Typically unavailable here so no vote (DSG fail again)

huh? the 370 is well above the 350/360 in spec.
they are only bluray players whilst 370 can stream and take flash memory.
sorry obviously too technical for me, i have 350 and its great but nowhere near as good as 370- please tell me how to get it as functional without buying other gear and i'll be grateful indeed.

(Apologies in advance to Splinter's wife lol).

Groan........

Does anyone want this bl**dy code before a PC World employee gets the thing cheap?

EDIT: PM received and code sent...you snooze, you lose. Hopefully there will be a unit there to collect...never trust 'em at PC World but I have email confirmation so.....

Damn in the rush to get one forgot about the 3% off using Quidco .Reserved at Milton Keynes. None available now so lost my 3%:x
Could have been worse only £2 lost .
#30
There was a shelf model sitting in Currys/PCWorld Canterbury (apparently it's one big store now...) when I went to pick up something else today, but it looked pretty battered. Enough that I wasn't tempted away from buying the Samsung I reserved, anyway.
#31
No stock anywhere in Yorkshire or North East. I', fed up with these regional deals. Stock never seems to be tere unless you live somewhere like Penzance, Carlisle or Bedford!! Bit of a waste of time

If you think that's fun, try joining HUKD in 2005 and finding 1/100 DSG deals actually in stock. Five years of misery
#33
Damn it, I only got the Samsung one from Dewsbury West Yorshire last night. They had a couple more left over

Apologies, sorry for leading you astray, I posted in good faith based on stock available at the 9 stores nearest to me. Can't quite understand why 2 stores are showing stock yet the staff advise there's none to be had ...

Like with me, better luck next time, huh ?

nout in southampton area

I suspect the answer is pretty simple. Knowing what a flawed system this is with no real 'guarantees' an employee or two have probably knobbled them for themselves.
After all, how many of us have a rant when the item we reserve is not actually there...especially when it was a bargain price?
#38
meh...went to Hove to collect, and saw it was a reboxed display model...no thanks...heads up for anyone less picky than I...
#39
Yes another DSG group fiddle. Got a phone call from Milton Keynes branch at 9am stating was an ex display model. Told them therefore to put it back on dislplay.
Suppose at least they rang me:x
#40
Just collected a brand new one from Basildon that I reserved yesterday. Phoned the PC World general number this morning to check it was in stock and she confirmed that they had 2, 1 brand new and 1 ex-display. Took a chance and it was brand new. I have 2 more reservation numbers, 1 for Peterborough and 1 for Charlton (South East London), PM me if you want the numbers. No guarantee if they are new, ex display etc but probably worth making a call to check. Many thanks to the op. Heat and rep given.
