Sony BDP-S370 £99.99 @ Argos

A voucher in todays Daily Mail (no I dont read it :)) gets you a Sony BDP-S370 Blu-Ray player for £99.99. Spend an extra penny and you get a £20 voucher, so really £80 for this Blu-Ray player.
(I haven't proof, just someone on avforums has done it)
Not sure of time limit. My first posted deal, not sure if I have done it right.

Do we need a list of Argos 'filler' items?
#2
This guy bought a pack of pens for 99p
#3
I'd recommend grabbing an Orange Sim Card for £1 and using it for Orange Wednesdays..
#4
Is there no online voucher that we can print off rather than buying that god awful rag ?
#5
I'm tempted, but buying the Daily Mail would cause me physical pain. I hadn't realised until now how strong my feelings against that paper are.
#6
You don't actually need to buy the Daily Mail, as i just did. It is only an advert for Argos which says it is £99.99 but if you go online it is still saying £149.99 also the double amount on the Argos Voucher starts today online and in store.
#7
great deal for an excellent player .
#8
Well I haven't bought it but as I work in a press department I dirtied my hands by flicking through it. There is no voucher for it. All I can find is an advert showing it at £99.99. So please dont go our and buy it!

However the website is showing it at £149.99 still.

And here is a scan of the advert:

Does it say anything in the advert when this offer starts and when it will end?

Offers end 31st October. No starting date in small print.

I have reserved one, will they honour the 99.99 when I collect?
#11
as they say on http://www.TheDailyMash.co.uk.....

"The Daily Mail.....Like spending 10 minutes in a lunatic asylum"
#12
I did this earlier today. I went to the till with the paper. It had to be manually reduced by the duty manager, so it could depend on the store.

You may also need to show the paper to get it at this price.

Could someone please clarify whether a voucher/newspaper needs to be presented to get the offer?

Probably, they will not 'know' about the new price otherwise. It's also on Page 27 of the Sun.

it does come with DVD player? doesnt it?

Advert says £10 Argos vouchers

I would imagine that they all know by now because Middle England would have discovered something to complain about.

"Bring back Diana and the birch and send all the foreigners home...."
"I'm not racist but...."
"I know they need to live somewhere but Surrey is not the place..."

Other ill-conceived sociopathic rants available on request.

I still love the delicious irony of the Mail's go-to headline, "Ban This Sick Filth".
There's an army of right (as in 'correct')-minded people who'd love to!

All 'out of stock' where I live :-(
#22
Phew just reserved one to collect after work :) Thanks for the heads up as I've been trying to get this particular player for this price ever since it went back up to £149 + (Cheapest place I've seen it since is at CostCo for £119 Inc VAT)

someone should scan/photo the receipt from a store as proof. Nice deal if its true, hope the big stores will start doing the LG BD560 for £90 soon, that would be good.

Was having a quick look at reviews and found out about a potential problem with the iPlayer HD: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbiplayer/NF13735683?thread=7595557 Seems there's a fix though so I will now head off to Argos and see if I can pick one up;).

reserved in redhill. will take a screen shot of the paper clip from here.

Does anyone know if this is this the same as the BDPS370 which is available for the same price on amazon? Just wondering whether that "S" in the middle means that it's a different model with different functionality.
#31
Seems like a cracking deal, just reserved one.
#32
Reserved one in Wolverhampton and bought The Sun, just in case.
Marginally less offensive than the Mail.
Also, the was some interesting political commentary from Emily, 21, from Warrington who was not surprised to see the economy growing at twice the predicted rate due to the building trade. She notes that short-sighted economists often overlook this sector's impact on GDP.
Fascinating.

Went to Argos. What a palaver! Girl didn't believe me about the offer. Showed her this page but still no joy. She phoned someone but whoever the halfwit was said that the offer didn't start until tomorrow. Ended up having to buy a copy of the sun and go back. Got the last player though plus a pack of £1.99 batteries to get the £20 worth of vouchers. Can only use £10 next month and the other £10 in December though.

Forgive my ignorance but I take it this will record onto blank rewritable disks from my Sony HD tv?

I was thinking about buying something like a Humax that records programs onto a hard disk.
What are the advantages of this Blue Ray instead.
I have reserved one at local store for pick up tomorrow.

alared, this can't record, it can only play bluray movies and dvds etc.
