Watch DVDs in near HD 1080p quality with DVD upscaling
Access YouTube and BBC iPlayer using BRAVIA Internet Video
Plug in a Sony USB dongle to wirelessly access online content

Firmware update: http://support.sony-europe.com/tvhc/downloads/downloads.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&f=BDPS37X_v567&m=BDP-S370

This player can play .mkv, some .avi, .mp4 and maybe some over video types, you can only play from FAT32 formatted harddrives so the maximum filesize you can play is 4GB so 4.37gb .mkv files wont play, NTFS is NOT supported on this player:(

you can make this multiregion for dvds ONLY (not for bluray) with an all-in-1 remote and entering some codes, you need a Harmony remote, see here for more details: http://www.avforums.com/forums/blu-ray-players/832243-sony-bdp-s350-s550-s5000es-dvd-multi-region-hack-all4one-remote-forum-bike.html

nice deal, going up!...

RS Will price match this as well, just checked
#3
Cracking deal

I have one problem with these, they look cheap and tacky in the flesh. The 360s (370s predecessor) had a much more premium feel about them.

Good price & good deal though

very good BDP. i got Amazon £134 deal. Its new firmware is available with DLNA upgrade which your BDP can download if connected to internet or you can get it from http://support.sony-europe.com/tvhc/downloads/downloads.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&f=BDPS37X_v567&m=BDP-S370

Was just about to go to John Lewis for one of these for £159.99 (-£30 trade in) saved me £30!
#11
Nice one ! Ordered one to replace my BDP-S350. The delay in drawer opening is just too much to bear now. H&R added.

The missus isn't going to be happy as the original was a xmas present.

gutted ..... did the £30 trade-in with dixons (£159 -£30 ) ... and my mates thought that was a bargain.... this is just crazy....

and the guy moaning it ...... stop talking nonsense ... on owning it its heavier than i thought it would be ,,,,, alot heavvier than my tosh hd-dvd e30 player i can tell you

another plus point over the 350/360 models for me is the inclusion of sacd playback ...... had a few discs sitting here doing sweet fa for a while

and op......you didnt really find it did you lol .. came in a email from play ;) had it myself and was just about to post the deal lol....beat me to it

Can the DVD player be made region free?

Finally a nice blu-ray player with iplayer and Youtube for under £100, heat added! :)

If only we can get other brands to sell at this price but with .mkv support and .avi support from NTFS formatted usb drives then bluray players would sell like hot cakes as they would be fully fledged media players then.

Yes, you need to buy or borrow an All-in-1 remote and type in some codes.

Great price, richer sounds have them on their website at £109 (with trade in) but they never have any stock and try to sell you a multi-region for £129 (again with trade in) best price I could find apart from richer was £126 at amazon and £129 at John Lewis (with trade in) and 2 year guarantee, but this beats them all !

ordered!
#20
been fighting the urge to pick this up for a number of weeks now, ordered. crackin' deal.

BDP-S370 uses 13Watts when playing, the older BDP-S360 used 22Watts, the even older BDP-S350 used 26Watts a nice reduction in power http://www.avforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

This player doesn't have a card reader btw :(
#22
Fantastic player, had an S360 but sold it to pay for the S370. Gut feeling told me this would drop to this price soon. Ordered and well happy.

LOL Glad to see you came back - it was a very harsh day for you, and much to my regret, I added my own comment. Please accept my apologies as I think you got enough stick that day.

Mind you, this is £30 more ;-);-)

didn't know that, thats cool!

I hope they release a S380 with a built-in SD card reader and NTFS support for usb harddrives/sticks then it will be pretty much a perfect media player.

Who cares, it supports DLNA.

yeah but that means your computer is on, computers use alot of power which is why playing videos on a bluray player would be much better.
#28
If I understand this right, it means I need a certain USB dongle to get WiFi and LoveFilm. Any idea how much extra this is and where to get it from. Great post. Heat added.
