Watch and listen in full HD 1080p

Bring a full High Definition cinema experience into your living room with the S370. Enjoy Blu-ray Disc movies in Full HD1080p quality and your existing DVD collection in near HD quality thanks to the player's upscale functionality and HDMI connection. The S370 also features BRAVIA Internet Video allowing you to access movies, TV shows, and music from YouTube, BBC iPlayer and more.

Key Features:

Full HD 1080p
Blu-ray is the clearest, most realistic video format to date, giving you images so sharp you can pick out every detail and crystal clear sound that makes you feel part of the world on screen. With Blu-ray you get five times the picture quality and ten times the sound quality of DVD, providing a powerful movie experience for all your senses.

Explore a new world of entertainment
Bravia Internet Video lets you stream a wide variety of movies, TV episodes, videos and music from a large selection of entertainment apps and websites including YouTube and BBC iPlayer. Connect using an Ethernet cable or take advantage of the S370's WLAN functionality to avoid the clutter of wires - just add a Sony USB WIFI dongle.

24p True Cinema technology
With 24p True Cinema technology you can sit back and enjoy movies exactly as the director filmed them. Until now, if you watched a movie at home you'd see it played back slightly faster than at the cinema because standard TVs deliver images at 25 frames a second. Select 24p True Cinema for a more authentic movie experience.

Don't forget 0.5% Quidco too.

Voted cold, recent posts at the same price from 3 other retailers.

Not fair to say it's cold, but I agree, hardly a new deal, is it?

I think there's 0.5% quidco at play for this - the tesco deal (got one last week) gives 3% quidco on the ex-vat price which (for me anyway) tracks as £2.55. You also get the clubcard points if you have one.

On a more general note, this player is excellent and is ridiculously cheap at ths price.

For anyone interested it's worth knowing that the recommended bandwidth for streaming iplayer/5 on Demand etc is 2.5Mbps for SD and 10Mbps for HD content. My speed was just under a meg and the iplayer would keep pausing to buffer, have upgraded to a faster speed and works fine.

Great player, bought mine for £30 more about a month ago but they're this price everywhere now.

Where did you see those figures - you don't need that much! 2 - 2.5Mbps is fine for SD, 3.5+Mbps for HD content. Its progressively downloaded so buffers in the memory, thus starting and pausing it for a few minutes allows the buffer to fill if you do have a un-upgradable connection

Unheard of brand - walkaway.

Pretty much available at this price from lots of retailers. Can get it at this price from J. Lewis with a £30 trade in. Just give the driver when he delivers it a cardboard cutout of a VHS player. Benefit is JL 2 yr guarantee.

Does the trade in player need to be in working condition?

Doubt you will even have to hand anything over to the driver. A serial number off any dvd/vhs player should do. If not give him any old crap he's not going to take the player away again. I'll let you know as I've got one due Monday.

Good with the JL trade in to get for same price but with the benefit of 2 years warranty. I have an old vhs and dvd player that I trade in, so its a matter of when I'm hitting the market for one of these machines.

Lol

Loughboro guy has become a legend --- even my parents know about him and they are not even on the net.

Had mine for a couple of weeks, really pleased with it' for £99, loads of extras e.g. iplayer. Seems to be well supported too, received a second network update today.

Delivered today no mention of wanting anything as a trade in. I think this trade in ends at end of the month at the latest.
