Note that this player has no DLNA. Sony have pulled a fast one and removed this feature from the entry model and you now have to pay extra for the S480 for this feature. On the plus side it reads NTFS drives off USB.

nice price, but read a review from amazon and they said the S370 is the better one due to the DLNA thing

No idea what has happened, but I'm unable to type or paste into the bar to insert a direct link. That's why I added the direct url in the description.

I'm glad I didn't wait & get this model then, as the DLNA feature on the s370 is amazing, works really well, streaming my films to if off my pc, via my router!
most usb sticks are formatted to FAT32 anyway, so only useful if you've got a NTFS harddrive to plug it into really!
SONY lost out there!

You can format a USB stick as NTFS. The advantage is that you can then have files larger than 4GB.

I've got the S370 and it is terrific, just figured out how to use my iPhone as a remote for it, but to be honest, not sure why I would need to? The Media Remote App works with the S370 aswell so not a new feature. Having looked at the specs there is a suggestion the upscaling from DVD is improved but can't see any improvements over the S370, has anyone spotted any?

Has anyone experience of using the DLNA functionality with a Mac?
I'd love to be able to stream from iTunes on my MacBook Pro but have no idea how to achieve this, any help would be much appreciated. I have connected my MacBook Pro directly up to my Sony EX503 with a HDMI lead but was disappointed with the performance...

Thanks for the tip Richx45, will give it a try!
Have you used it with iTunes (movies)?

I ordered the s370 from hmv for £95 yesterday, what's the difference between this one?
#17
richx45 - thanks for that tip, works like a dream! I could see my windows 7 machines through wmp but serviio got my XP machine to show up too, ty.

If anyone is after the S370 still I just posted it as a deal, £99.99 at Argos atm:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sony-bdp-s370-blu-ray-99-99-argos/910515

Souljacker, HMV have it as £149 on their site, where did you get it for £95, in store?
