Excellent price, Amazon £177. This is a stunning blu-ray player.

The BDP-S760 is a high performance Blu-ray Disc player with the latest picture and sound quality enhancement technologies, including multi-channel headphone surround sound system as well as home networking capability.

An advanced Super Bit Mapping means that this player creates more colour variation on your TV screen resulting in a much smoother picture, while its High Definition Reality Enhancer gives greater detail to the image bringing flawless quality to the movie experience. With its headphone surround sound you can enjoy 7.1ch surround sound from any connected headphones.

Its wireless-N Internet technology is the fastest and most reliable wireless system available. It delivers a convenient way of enjoying BD live functions or downloading the latest firmware updates. DLNA certified networking capability allows transfer of JPEG files from other devices even if they are not in the same room. It has a USB port for convenient transfer of JPEG files for viewing on the TV screen.

The player is backwards compatible with DVDs; by connecting via HDMI, you can upscale them using the Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology to the best picture possible. Your DVD collection will look outstanding on your Full HD TV. Featuring BD-Live, the BDP-S760 gives you access to interactive features. Connected directly to the internet, BD-Live brings you more exclusive extras like Bonus Features, News & Trailers and Games. Through the BonusView functionality a separate stream of video will play along with the movie in the form of a 'picture-in-picture' format and show interviews with the film's cast and crew, storyboards and other visual content.

x.v.Colour allows the player to display images with natural and more vivid colours similar to what the human eye actually sees in the real world. The Deep Colour technology gives you smoother images and more colour variation when connecting your player to a Deep Colour ready HD TV via HDMI, bringing you a more colourful movie experience.

With the PhotoTV HD dedicated still picture display technology, you can view your digital photos at their best on your BRAVIA TV. The Precision Drive HD technology helps you get the most out of your Blu-ray Discs and DVDs, even if they are bent or scratched. Following the same award-winning design as the PLAYSTATION3 menu, the XrossMediaBar menu system provides simple and intuitive control to give you a smooth user experience.

The Quick Start-up mode allows you to get your Blu-ray Disc player started after just six seconds, while the BRAVIA Sync technology enables you to synchronise your Blu-ray Disc player to BRAVIA televisions and Home Theatre systems at the touch of a button. The latest applications for the player can be updated via internet through firmware updates. By running updates, your Blu-ray Disc player will always deliver optimum performance.

With full HD Audio Decoding of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding the sound quality is rich and powerful it's like listening to the movie's original sound track in the studio. For outstanding sound quality, 7.1 channel High Definition Surround Sound Bitstream via HDMI connection is possible.

The stylish design of the player perfectly complements your BRAVIA TV to create a harmonised home entertainment system - which fits seamlessly into your living room.

Good find!
Not as good as the S570, but for anyone who's got an older AV amp, you can connect this via the multichannel analogue audio outputs to get HD soundtracks.

i love corporate ****

''With its headphone surround sound you can enjoy 7.1ch surround sound from any connected headphones''

really? stereo headphones rivalling 7.1 set up, all due to a blu ray player?

these marketing types make me sick, i read the other day some laymans guide to computers calling USB 2.0 the fastest connection available right now (dated 2010)

what hifi prefered the budget 370 for pic and sound, and its only 99.00
was 86 in costco I have the 370, and I cant imagine it getting any better

Mate, the BDP-370 is at least £139 at play and elsewhere since a long time and costco has stopped selling it long back.

Great price for a great player.
I paid over £300 for mine less than 12 months ago, there was a shortage back then though.

Ordered mine, cheers OP, hard to find a decent Blu-Ray player with 7.1 analogues outputs at a good price.

whats the difference?

The S570 does have better picture and sound quality than the S760, and is also 3D ready and does internet TV. I think both have built in wifi.

I'd only buy the S760 myself if I needed the analogue audio outputs. In which case it's a cracking deal.

£99 on Amazon and Argos and if you spend a £1 or so on batteries etc. you'll get £20 worth of discount vouchers at the latter
