Just got RSs usual clearout email. Some good bargains on BR players. Sign up to VIP club (free) for the newsletter. Go instore and mention the price (as the VIP sale one is cheaper than the website one)

Seems to be that for most of the offers stock is mostly in London.

If there was one near me I'd be there right now!

I wouldn't:

But then out of those deals I'd have the Pioneer over both of them:

"But then out of those deals I'd have the Pioneer over both of them"....I can't see the Sony BDP-S370 listed there can you ;-). But you're right the 370 is a lot of player for the money, just a shame it looks so cheap.

costco - see thread - bargain @ £82.20 inc vat (69.99 without)

id buy one but ive got a sony 350 so not alot of point as i doubt id use alot of the features (eg bbciplayer - use virgin or pc for that)...my 350 is about 3 years old and has been faultless and plays brilliantly

id rather buy from costco....excellent returns policy too than the "arthur daley" dodgy richer sounds

That is a prize winning bargain, and the Costco returns policy is second to none.

Had one of these for ages, great player - never refused to play any Blu Ray

Made it multi region for SD DVD playback - all upscaled to 1080p/60

Bargain.

Yeah, that's why I'd say avoid the 360 and get a 370 (it loads like and errr...DVD player). And it has great Internet video (i-Player, Demand Five etc).

Either are great machines though and have had regular updates (ethernet/router or download file manually) from Sony.

If people are saying their Blu-ray player has played "every" disc they ain't playing very many discs.

Update is the name of the game here so stick with a brand like this if you expect your machine to be flawless and use Blu-ray to its full potential. These 2 Sonys can also be made (DVD only) multiregion/RCE free.

My mate Dave said his mate Charlie saw a 360 reflected in the window of his Richer Sounds. It was a reflection though so it could have been in another shop window :D

The VIP emails do seem a bit random - I have seen others I have missed.

I was waiting for this one and dived straight on it, Richer Sounds shouldnt be able to push these deals where no stores have any stock...

The 360 was for my dad, thinking of the 370 for myself.

WhatHifi, the place where they talk about how expensive HDMI cables open up the stage and increase the vividness in colours, I'd take anything they say with a pinch of salt mate.

I've also got one of these, excellent quality and great picture when combined with good tv (samsung 2333hd in this case). Good how they have come down so much recently, I paid more than double this.
