No, do you know of a 3D Blu Ray Player that supports multichannel 7.1 analogue and has built in wifi b/g/n for £149 ?

Ok confession time here, whilst this is a bargain relative to its RRP on a now discontinued Blu Ray Player I posted this mainly as a test

A short while ago, somebody posted a deal for EXACTLY the same price as this on the LG BD390

Now they both are high spec players, both have now been deleted, both featuring the rare feature of supporting PCM with 7.1 analogue, and both supporting integral wi-fi, however the LG BD390 has better features, and has better reviews for them, and clearly for the same price is the better player

Whereas my post here continues to get heat, ironically the LG BD390 got negative votes, now I know there are a fair share of numpties on this forum, and I really would like to know why :

a) We vote like sheep, one person puts a deal into the blue we all follow
b) We are Sony fanboys so like to add heat whenever
c) Technical specs on high end players we don't understand and will always vote cold if you can buy a player cheaper that you can hook up to your tv, unless of course it is Sony
#11
i'd buy the sony over the lg any day - this is a great player, great build and a nice to use machine - the lg might also be but maybe most (7.1 analogue ar euseful for owners of older amps but the youtube stuff) ppl don't require the extras - also maybe the retailer Richer Sounds pricing and store games can be very frustrating!

If people don't require the extras of 7.1 analogues, then there really is little point going for either player unless swayed by the addition of wi-fi, but the LG has integral 1GB memory and better codec support for streaming.

The voting on this forum is more than a bit strange to say the least, anyway for anyone that has an older receiver and is interested in a high end Blu Ray player that has multichannel analogue, they have the two options, both are great prices, one just puzzlingly got voted cold for no real apparent reason!

Of course, someone calls me a fanny, I am bound to retaliate...what do you expect. I own a PS3 too, but if for the same price something is technically better than something else I don't understand why one gets voted cold and the other hot...whether you understand the tech specs or not it must prove an insecure simpleton nature to then call that person a "fanny".

d) The LG is Richers Sounds clearance stock. i.e. It will most likely be in stock until you get to the store...whereby there are mysteriously none left. If you check their website, it appears that most of their stores have just one of these in stock. Over the past few years, many people have been annoyed with Richer Sounds....even when they've phoned up and checked the item is in stock. (_;)

Looking down the list, there is at least ONE available in each of their stores, with the glut of cheaper Blu Ray Players, I hardly see them selling like hot cakes somehow, seeing unless as this Celtic fan puts you are a "fanny" you would only be connecting a Blu Ray Player up to your TV via a newly learned new fangled connector called a HDMI Lead. ;)

Oh I have had issues with Richer Sounds myself, just odd that that LG player got voted cold with no one mentioning why, especially when stocks are at least listed in just about every store, I just suspect sheep hitting the cold button.

I voted hot on the LG. It would be nice to be able to have 'friends' or something on here so that you could pick up stuff that was recommended by people that you know are sensible of know what they are about.

If you want to see things get cold quickly check out most of the outdoor kit offers.

Well I personally vote my own deal cold, to all the Richer Sounds haters it is available there for just £99.99 limited stocks, but a steal at that price.

I love this forum, it is soooo random.

Will never buy another Sony again. My BDP S360 blu ray player started cocking up 2 days out of warranty (last month) and both Sony and the retailer couldn't care less. It's a chipset fault. picture and sound freeze and drop out for up to 10 seconds at a time while counter still counts. When it recovers, it jumps a chapter.

It's a chipset fault. picture and sound freeze and drop out for up to 10 seconds at a time while counter still counts. When it recovers, it jumps a chapter.

Should've bought it from RS with 5 yr warranty for only 10% more :-)

No 3D ?

No, do you know of a 3D Blu Ray Player that supports multichannel 7.1 analogue and has built in wifi b/g/n for £149 ?

How the hell do i know thats why i asked

It never stated in the description that it had 3D, so why ask if it did? Did you just assume it did because you can buy a 3D Player for this sort of money? I was more under the impression that you wondered because of the cost without realising the tech specs in comparison to other players regardless of it not having 3D is all, no need to get "shirty"
