£1,235 including 5% discount voucher....

can't believe people (haters) are voting cold for no damn good reason - this is hot hot hot!
#3
Must have money to burn lol
#4
look at what you get for your money... it's a premium home cinema kit!

just because it's not 5p off a 35p bag of crisps does not mean that it's not a good deal - it's a very good deal - over £300 cheaper than elsewhere...

people are voting cold without even looking just because it costs over £1k... grrr!
#5
Could buy a tele for that amount!

and your point is what exactly?:whistling:

just because it's over £1k in price does not mean this is not a good deal!

It might be a good deal for someone but just might be out of reach for us everyday folks, who may just be the majority on these posts, credit crunch and all that.

If this is a good deal then people should NOT vote it cold just because it still costs a lot of money. I might point out that the hottest deal on this whole site by some considerable distance is a Car that costs close to 13,000 pounds. A good deal is a good deal. :x

If it's what you're after then it is a good deal. If anyone can post a better deal then do it - don't do the predictable HUKD winge!

"It might be a good deal for someone "

there you said it - it's a good deal!

yes it is more expensive then a £3 CD - but the point is that it is a good deal.
So people voting cold just because it's a valuable item just don't get the point of hotukdeals... a deal is about getting an item for a good price... not just buying items that are 99p.

thank you both - glad to see that there are at least some people on here who understand what is a good deal!

Style over substance I suspect. Ask yourself this. Is wireless going to produce as good a sound as wired?

The answer is no.

Buy yourself separates, cheaper and upgradeable.

Kef eggs and Denon/Yamaha amp for example.
#13
thanks op just ordered 6 of these :-D ( on your credit card )
#14
Not even 7.1.

Poor for that price matey

bt shop and dabs both do it for 1300, going against your wild claim of it being a whole £300 from competing sites. after quidco / coupons both come down another 30 or so squids.

bottom line why people are voting cold is cause you're paying a hell of a lot for style over substance, which hukd'ers don't really vote for. the wireless rears and slim design and brand doesn't justify spending 3x more for this system than what you could get for an upgradeable 7.1 surround sound system.

so yeah, might be hot to some. cold to me, both cause its not an overly special price and cause the returns you get from it are not worth the price, IMO. and it's all about people's opinions now isn't it :) stop the hukd whine, product was voted cold. hope it doesn't ruin your experience with the product!

compared:
42" plasma TV £500
onkyo receiver £300
7.1 surround speakers + blu ray £300

basically an entire home theatre experience for what you paid for fancy speakers.

not voting for the deal hot or cold..

but for some people quality/brand is above price.. and one should respect that..
for those voting this deal cold - do you vote an ipod deal hot when you can get 1gb alba or asda brand mp3 player for 5-10 quid? If yes you shouldn't be voting this deal cold.
#17
Voted hot. Doesn't matter if you can get a similar system for less, because it's not this system!

It's like saying you can get £150 off a macbook making it £700 for arguments sake, but because I can get another laptop for £600 I'm gona vote it cold.

For this specific home theatre kit (remember it's bluray as well, not just speakers!) it's a good deal. End of.

BT shop were at £1555 when i posted the deal... they're still more expensive then £1,235 this works out at.
i understand your point about using money elsewhere but do you get as many features as this blu-ray, hd upscaling, ipod docking port and same quality of sound?

for those harping on about wireless speakers not being as got as cabled... thay argument may have had some weight 2 years ago... but wireless techonology has moved on.

You're paying about £500 for a SONY badge here? :?

A similar spec could be bought for around £700ish (all name brands still, panny, sony etc)

I guess if you really need these over something else then it's the cheapest. But I wouldn't say it's a hot deal by a long shot (and I waste money on things normally)
