"Stream music wirelessly from your iPod in your bag or pocket.
Adjust volume, play / pause and skip tracks from the headset.
Headset and transmitter have been pre-paired for easy connection and use.
Lightweight and comfortable fit.
Transmitter power supplied from iPod - so no additional battery or charging is needed.
11 hours continuous playback time. "

Also works with other devices - have paired this to both my mobile phone and PC via a bluetooth dongle - the version of this without the iPod adaptor was on sale at Argos for this price a few weeks ago, so to get them with the iPod adaptor included is a bonus.

(My first post, wooh!)

I have one of these for when I am out jogging and it works a treat.

I've been watching these for a while, and almost bought them at full price - then I saw that the version without the iPod adaptor was on sale at Clearance Bargains (Argos Clearance Warehouse) for £40 - so I was about to make a journey to the nearest warehouse to get them, before seeing this one at the same price.

Picked them up from my Argos on Friday - they took 2 hours to charge fully, and then I have used them for about 8 hours since - they are comfortable to wear, although the neck band is a little larger than my neck so I can't wear them lying in bed.

They paired fine with my mobile phone and I managed to get about 20feet away before the sound broke up. Cupping my hands over the earpieces or going behind a wall seemed to affect it, but otherwise I could move around in the same room as the transmitting end without a problem. Paired with my PC, which has a 100m range dongle, I was able to move into another room and not affect the sound, which was surprising (as I thought the range of the PC is irrelevant if the range of the headphones is only 10m, as the bluetooth connection is a two-way thing).

I haven't tried the iPod dongle out yet, as I left my iPod at work, but I have no reason to think it won't work just as well.

I may jump on this if any comments from ipod users transpire. Wanted something like these for a long time but cautious to spend a fair amount of money when I can't sample the audio quality beforehand.

i cant say about the dongle as i don have an ipod but i am shud get thesee headphones wit a walkman arond tuesday, ill see woti think of them, ive read good reviews so i dont think ill be dissapointed! The headphones are worth the price of this deal alone so hot from me.!

Reviews on Argos website are generally favourable re. use with ipods, including touch. Apparently some issues with the neck band being on the larger side but battery charge lasts 8 hrs of continuous play and sound not bad. I wonder if these work with the ps3 though. Has anyone tried it?

Hi. Bought these at this price last time they were on offer and they work a treat with my iPod nano. Excellent value. You can actually plug in wired headphones and use the wireless headphones so two of you can listen to the same iPod - only thing is, the wireless headphones are a fraction behind, so if you're singers you'll be out of sync!!! :-D

Still can't believe when I bought these originally last year they were £18...
#9
I've got a very similar SONY pair (on offer at ASDA a few months ago) and I find the audio quality to be really good / headset controls easy to use and the convenience brilliant (I love that you can pair with multiple devices, so use them with your MP3 player, and your phone so long as they both support AD2P).

The only comment I'd make, is the iPod dongle it comes with does use the iPod battery for power, so shortens your time between charges - a really rough guesstimate, is that it lasts 2/3 as long with the dongle as without it.

I'm happy with this compromise for the wire free life!.

Yeah I bought the over the head ones of these and they work brilliantly with my iPhone!
#11
I also bought the over the head ones when they were £17.99 at Play. Excellent audio quality when paired to Sony w580i walkman phone and Sammy NC10. Great being able to swap between tracks by flicking the rocker switch on the headphones.

As I do not have an iPod, I sold the Bluetooth transmitter on eBay and got £18 for it, so basically got the wireless headphones for nothing.

The transmitter alone (BTMR-BT8IP) is currently advertised on eBay for £39.95.

great price - hot from me

have the over the head version and can confirm these are great with an iphone.

would also add - the upcoming iphone firmware update adds better bluettooth functionality, so should be able to pair without the dongle (my mate had the beta version of the firmware so can confirm it does), but it appears some functionaility will be lost (i.e fast forward) without the dongle.

At this price I say but buy buy buy - made the gym better for me (using the rower for one was much easier with the iphone put somewhere safe and not bolted to my arm like im want to show the world what mp3 device i have).

Sorry but only voted 'Warm' on this one. I got a Dell BH200 Bluetooth headset not dissimilar to this one from ITC Sales and an iHiFi iPod Bluetooth dongle from play.com, which combined cost less than this Sony kit, which I get the impresion you are just paying for the badge with.

Ah yes that only applies to the iPhone 3G and the new iPhone due to be unvieled in the next few weeks. The original iPhone like mine will miss out on the A2DP functionaility you refer to as although it will run the new firmware, the hardware is different.

well i got a set today!
i'll give a report tommorrow!

Hi,these look like Sony DR-BT21G Headphones, there excellent for BT headphones(not that i have had others).Bought a Sony A829 when it was posted on here, these came with them, not as good as say Shure Se110 i have at the moment, but good & more convienient. Not 100% sound isolation(& a bit of leakage, especially if on full volume),but this can be good/have advantages when you are walking around your local town etc. With Sony A829 BT signal distance is pretty good,A829 set to best quality, you rarely get drop out in the house, local village odd time, town etc, drops out a fair few times, must be interference etc.Keep player near RH speaker, side of body etc.
Brother-in Law liked them that much yesterday(not really his scene either),best music he had ever heard(even thou i said there is better),said i had to get him some, anyway sold him them, tough decision, there going on holiday Tue(& B-Tube posted on here, its now dropped from £14.99 to £9.99,not terribly good sound, certainly not much bass, certainly no ghetto blaster ie not that loud, didn't expect it,not bad thou, but Li-ion & BT,really well made etc is good, only seems to have only a few metres of range thou, not like Sony headphones).
Anyway ordered a Sony X1060 :-D ,even with Andy posting too much good music etc :-D ,have to get a BT dongle & these headphones sometime :-D ,shame this is for iPod,but prob good for those who have one.

Cheers BOB

I also got the play £18 ones, decent headphones and the bluetooth works well. If you want to use these with your laptop, bear in mind you'll need the software IVT BlueSoleil to get any kind of functionality.

@pennycounter

I've paired this with my PS3, and it picks up the mic fine, have tried to use in Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and SOME voice commands work, however I believe this is down to the voice recognition being poor in Vegas 2, before you launch a game it works fine,

As most others have put great for music, ideal if you are using fitness equipment, but range is limited (pretty much in the same room only). Only other concern is the neckband doesn't feel the strongest, however I have had mine since xmas, and they are still fine - but haven't been used much yet.

I will be doing some online play with Vegas 2, so will try it for voice comms then and report back

For the iphone users, the iphone update that is due later this year (to be announced next week) is supposed to be adding A2DP support so this may well support audio streaming without the dongle after this update which would be cool.

As mentioned above, this is only true for iPhone 3G users. Us poor 2G early adopters will not get A2DP with 3.0 firmware :(

Have reserved a pair for my 2G iPhone - was going to upgrade to a 3G just for A2DP, but for 40 UKP, this'll do!
#23
they are awesome headphones!!!
#24
I have these headphones with my wire free sony walkman (last years model) Sounds quality was much better then i expected, punchy bass, lovely crisp treble, only complain is after about an hour they get uncomfortable... i only use these at the gym and when running, so it could be that
#25
I also got the headband version last year from Play. Here's the link to the HUKD forum from the time that may answer alot of peoples questions.

I was surprised at how good the sound quality was on these, easily paired with, Ipod, PC, Laptop, PS3, Phone [HTC]. Works brilliant for music, phone calls, voice chat.

* Please note item 5349175 has previously been on sale at £39.09.

so this is actually a PRICE RISE

Oh, excellent spotting! I was nearly going to buy the dongle itself for 35ish quid a few weeks ago! Heat and rep added.

Edit: also, it's still a reduction from £70-odd Ferret, even if its gone back up by five whole pence recently.

A little unfair - it just means it has been on sale before, and last time it was on sale it was less than this time (albeit 5 pence!) - it was definitely on sale at the full price for the last three months, as that's how long I've been waiting to buy it!

does anyone knows if they will work with the new ipod classic 120GB (latest generation) as I have heard apply have yet again made some changes to the connector port?
#30
yeh they pretty good. they work fine in windows 7 - all the functions but i can't get them to work in ubuntu
#31
Can anyone please confirm that these are 100% over the ear headphones? Sony DR-BT21G
I brought some from Argos yesterday and the item number matched but I got given the DR-BT22iK. They refunded them, but I wanted to check before I go into a different store and try again.
#32
Ironic that this dongle won't fit a sony player, seems a good deal anyway.
#33
Why has this been expired?

I bought a set today from my local. They still had two in stock!

I love them so far, got the mic going easily on PS3 and phone.

iPod Touch with the 3.0 software works without the dongle but only for music, no mic working yet. Only play and pause buttons on the headset work, no skip track function yet. My 5 year old Sony Ericsson can use the buttons on the headset, yet Apple are too lazy to implement these functions in their 'drivers'. :@

I can't get the audio working through my headset from my Acer Aspire One netbook yet, I can't quite work it out :(

And audio jutters a bit when connected to mobile and iPod Touch, but nevertheless the audio quality is surprisingly incredible when only connected to one device.

I would definitely recommend these.

Why is this expired!!!!!!!!!!
