Don't know if it is a good price or not, but that is so cool...Noted from the Play reviews though that it is definitely pink, not light red, which may be an issue for some.

It is a very neat and stylish TV. I bought one in the last Play offer (but in white - this is a pale rose pink) and it is a staggeringly good price. These retail at over £300.

A couple of small cons to be aware of (1) It is very slow starting up (2) When using its stand (rather than wall mount) it is raked very slighly backwards, like a photograph frame. This affects the contrast of the pciture (3) The sound is not bad, but equally not that good either, like all the small TVs.

Just ordered for kitchen .. great price and nice set .. it has cable tuner built in and USB slot for viewing movies, photos etc.
Don't mind the rear is pink

Like FF99, I bought the White/Silver model when they were on offer a month or so ago @ £179 - very pleased, reviewed on T3 here http://www.t3.com/reviews/tv/lcd-tv/sony-kdl-19s5700-review ideal for bedroom or kitchen, retailing on M & S £379 http://www.marksandspencer.com/Sony-Bravia-KDL-19S5710-Ready-LCD/dp/B0030CNJGW?ie=UTF8&qid=1276001020&categoryNodeID=43992030&ref=sr_1_14&page=2&node=198141031&sr=1-14&mnSBrand=core&_encoding=UTF8&rh=n%3A198141031

I bought this tv in mocha when it was 179.99 and loved it so much I wanted another one but it went up to £250 so I ordered the 'soft red' and love that one too, it's not a horrible barbie pink it's more dusky pink :gift:

HD Ready = minimum of 720 vertical lines

Full HD = 1080 vertical lines

I have one. Sound is much better than anything else in its class especially in this price range. The pink colour is quite subdued. You'd have to have office striplights on, sit a foot away and keep tapping the frame while saying the mantra 'pinkpinkpinkpinkpinkpink' to continue to notice or care about the colour. I don't think it's 1080P but it can display it which means it downscales it? Even so, the picture looks much better than my monitor that can actually display 1080P.

Screen Resolution: 1366 x 768
Full HD ready 1080p: Displays images in Full HD 1080p, the maximum resolution defined for HDTV use

DOES NOT COMPUTE

I think we already established earlier that it downscales. It accepts 1080P sources and says 1080P up in the left hand corner when it first receives the signal.

I got this in silver/white when they were doing them at the same price. To be honest I don't think it looks as nice on the wall in my kitchen as my cheaper black Samsung did but the sound is considerably better which made it well worth buying as my Samsung was almost unusable when cooking due to oven/kettle/fan noise etc.

Fantastic for the price.

Would like this for my bedroom. No aerial / aerial point though!

Indeed I did! Apologies for confusion! Maybe something I should sort out, though I don't really need a tv in my bedroom! I like how portable this TV is.

Trying to convince the missus that we really do need a 32-incher in the bedroom but she's having none of it.

My afro-Caribbean friend is really disappointed....
