Sony. Used to buy Sony, found their after sales had PLUMMETED (paticularly their British after sales) and their goods poorer quality than it had been. I have a Sony Bravia 40" it's nowhere near as good as friends Samsungs LG's Panasonics or - even an ALDI 32" that REALLY impressed me. My Sony video/dvd has been "repaired" THREE times and STILL won't record to dvd from video as it's supposed to do, nor play on other dvd players. My Sony walkman is OK-ish, but not remotely as good as my Cowon - for LESS money. My Sony DSC-W290 camera has nt given me much trouble....yet.
In short, I don't think paying a bit extra for a Sony is a sensible move any more.

im not sure you can get a cheaper brand with the same spec though?

Excellent price. Products should be judged individually on their merits not the brand.

Looks like a cracking price for this TV; couldn't see anything on a like for like basis that comes close.

Heat added!

The resolution must be incorrect ........

2560 x 1080 pixels

shouldn't it be 1920 x 1080 ?

Valid point.
Still wouldn't trust Sony from personal experience though. Their after sales look for ways NOT to do fulfil their side of the deal
Personally, I think thats important.

definately 1920 x 1080. It's correct in the 'product detail' section.

Also the specs on sony's site: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/t32-ex-series/kdl-32ex603#pageType=TechnicalSpecs

After sales are very important. I had PS3 which refused to switch on 15 months after I purchased it, Sony delivered a replacement the next day. Maybe I've been lucky and you've been unlucky but I don't think you can advise against their after sales based on one experience.
