Fantastic price for a fantastic TV.

I've just bought the 46" version (not from this retailer). :w00t:

Why do people just vote cold when they dont know anything about the product. It might not be £299 like the Hanspree but is in a different class!!
#7

Ok. I suppose the size an that its an LCD isn't a bad idea.
EDITED!
#14
a price is sometimes good to have in a title
#15
It says the price under the picture

It says the price under the picture

but you have to enter the post to see the price.

Imagine if all titles just said 'TV - free delivery' or '15% off today' :giggle:

titles should have description of item & deal/store name/price

and only a further £20 for a 3 year warranty which is a must IMHO on these LCDS/plasmas
#22
any quidco with these guys?
#23
It's actually £35 difference with Shipping

Ok i've just realised what you mean about the price in the title. I asumed everyone browses the deals on the main page or uses the filter. I just found the RSS button that takes you to the tiltles only.

Not being a veteran of HUD i wasn't aware of this and when you post a deal it asks for the title and the price separately so maybe this is an issue that needs addressing.

Fair enough and good point. Mods take note as it is becoming all too frequent to have fairly meaningless titles meaning more bandwidth being consumed from your servers.

Seems like a great price for a sony.

I was thinking of getting a samsung R87 but maybe I should go for this.

What do other people think?
#27
What resolution is this?

720p/1080i/1080p?

And how long would delivery be?

A price??

The store name, too! I dunno how many times I've gone into a deal from the home page only to find it's an in-store only deal in a shop I can't easily get to (i.e. Tesco, Salisbury's, Safeway etc) :whistling:

Different people look at different places. On the home page I never look to the right to see the price, if I'm skimming through the titles I like to see item, price, retailer in the title :)

Yes and you wouldn't know any difference on a 32" between 1080i and 1080p

Actually isnt the native resolution 720p meaning that it would downgrade any 1080i signal to 720p?

... Or am I missing something? :?
#35
the person asking about 1080 on ps3
no, it won't

it's only capable of 720p... or 1366 whatever res.... a little better than 720... but not 1080 and I bet a difference could be seen between 720p and 1080p on a 32" as I can see it on a 20" screen I use for my pc :)

You may be right:whistling: . Stil don't know if you'd see any difference on a 32" unless you sat right infront of it.
I run my 360 on a LG 50" plasma in 720p and cant emagine it being any better.
Can anyone comment on if there is a noticable difference because i still think at this price range i'd rather spend my money on a quality brand than on 1080:thinking:
#37
ok, yes you can see the difference although the screen i primarily use my 360 for is 720p and it's still very good. I could upscale the games and run them on the smaller screen but comfort is what's important and I'm not sitting at a desk :)

if you can find a decent branded 1080p for close to the cash, of course go for it but 720p is not the end of the world by any means and will still give a very good gaming experience. for bluray and hd-dvd... probably a good idea to get a 1080p if youre bothering with that.

I agree with you Alfresco, I was merely pointing it out so that people would not misunderstand a previous post. I too have 50" LG plasma with 720p (bought from currys for £1000 with cinema system and stand......did u do the same Alfresco? ) and I think the picture quality is amazing! And for a Sony Bravia this is a great price. Id buy one as a big pc monitor if I had the money.

I got the LG 50pc1d from sound and vision back in april for £999 Can't fault it in any way. I personaly think the difference you see from SD to HD on games is incredible even in 720p. When i first hooked up my 360 i fogot to change the settings on the 360 thinking it would recognise it(I know a few people who have done this) and was gutted at the picture but when i changed it to 720p i was blown away. I use my 360 10 times more than i did now.
