This award wining Bravia W series LCD television is on sale at Robert Whyte Ltd in Glasgow at a reduced price of £1599.99 (plus £50 delivery) a massive saving of £350. This includes a 5 year warranty. Found that John Lewis Ltd are more than willing to price match on the same TV (never knowingly undersold)and they have their own 5 year warranty as well. This television is in their stores at £1999.99. A bargain!

While i can say its a fab tv as we bought it ourselves several months ago. The price is more than we paid and i thought we got a bad deal.
Hmmm have just been informed we didnt actually pay that much less by my wonderful boyfriend. Ohhhh how he lied.

Busted. :giggle:
£1599 @ richer sounds, ideal for a john lewis price match.
£1,534.99 at Empire Direct BUT John Lewis will price match this, therefore getting the 5 year warranty as well.

It's a little more hassle than the Robert Whyte deal (have to speak to the John Lewis undersales team to authorise the price match) but cheaper in the end.

This is the tv we want,we have been trying get a price match done with John Lewis.I have since made a phonecall on Friday to John Lewis in Bluewater as thats my nearest but they still not called back about it.I think they just stalling us,they either want the business or they don't!
I'm calling up tomorrow, see if they got a decision if they do it,if so I'm getting myself on National Express bus asap!
They're taking about a week at the moment as they're being swamped with requests.
I find John Lewis are quiet reluctant to price match. Had one experience @ Watford sometime ago.

Showing as in stock Don’t know if JL will price match them though.
You may want to wait as there may be a price drop soon, the 2000’s replacement, the 2500 is rumoured to be going on sale soon. The 2500 will be a 1080p screen and have the new HDMI 1.3 sockets.
The X2500 is said to be shipping at the end of this month. I guess the W2500 won’t be far behind, possibly launching at the same time as the PS3 So that the marketing men can hype up HDMI 1.3?

I know there is always something new and ‘better’ around the corner but unless you need one right now it might be wise waiting a few weeks for a price drop on the 2000 or for the choice of getting a 2500.
I be happy waiting, there is nothing wrong with the 1 we got and had it 5 and half years but my partner he is the 1 wanting a new 1!
It be typical of John Lewis taking so long to do price matches, you should just be able to go instore with the info printed off or the shops telephone number and you should be able 2 do a sale there and then, buy your tv and be out in 20mins tops!
