Are you sure it's online for £499 using the £100 trade in? I thought the trade in discount could only be applied if you take your old TV into a Technology M&S store at time of purchase as M&S don't offer a collection service. If I'm wrong please post a link?

i bought this tv a couple of months ago in the M&S misprice for £425 after quidco.
its superb. i have it linked to my network and it can play anything such as xvids, mp3s, dvds from my laptop using a piece of software called ps3mediaserver. it has built in freeview and freesat HD.
if you have an old unused virginmedia feed into the house it can also scan and pick up half a dozen freeview channels on that as it has a dvb-c tuner built in as well.
it also can play movies from a usb stick, i cant remember now what format it accepts as I use the network with mine which is soo simple.
why take a chance on a no-name TV for £400 when you can get this for £500 with 5 year guarantee.
Dont forget quidco either!

Apologies, would appear that the Trade In deal is in store only. Having checked other websites, House of Fraser etc, they are the same - In Store Only BUT Tesco will accept the Trade In for an online purchase. Tesco also have a good deal on the new range of Bravia's but I went for the M&S as its £50 cheaper and has the 5yr warranty, which recent experience has forced me to consider.

Have you re edited the deal to reflect the deal you are suggesting?

Is this the TV I've been waiting for? Reviews suggest so. Anyone got any experience with it?
#6
Its a great TV, high contrast and good picture. Very similar to the W series but without the 100hz, if you watch a lot of sports it may be worth thinking about the W/EX503 series. Good price though

My dad got this tv for £549 at Sony centre Liverpool, last month he got a free 5 year warranty, and a free HD satallite install as well. Awesome for the price!

How do you get the £100 off, do you pay the full £599 on line then just turn up at the store with the old tv and get £100 back? or is there some code to add at the checkout? sorry if this has been explained before.

Suffer from motionblur? I do watch a lot of sports and would mainly use it for PS3. This not suited??

Are you sure you didn't get the W rather than the V. The W has 100Hz rather than the V's 50Hz.

I bought this TV for the same price in Currys a few weeks ago, traded in a old fat style 32"

Got the 32W5810 a few weeks back for £399 after a £100 trade-in. Good TV, works alright as a PC monitor too

This is cold for me, you can get the 100hz version from Tesco with trade in for £50 more.
#18
Have you got a link to the 100hz TV from Tesco? The only one I can see is the 40W5500 but that doesn't have Freesat in.

Sorry my bad, it's the 50hz EX403 model, it has the Bravia 3 engine which I wrongly assumed was 100hz.

I've observed that jerky/stuttering motion is more noticeable on sets of this size and without the 100Hz feature I'm concerned that it would be quite annoying to somebody who is sensitive to it. Has anyone experienced how this set performs in this area?

How can you include the £100 off as part of the deal price? That's just wrong. It's like these people that say they got, let's say... Red Dead Redemption for £15. Then when you ask them how they got it for that they tell you they had a voucher or they traded 2 other newish games in at the same time.

I think if you have to actually sell (that's what 'trading in' is) something as part of the deal it shouldn't be included in the price. Mention it in the details by all means and I'm sure it will be very useful for lots of people but this deal is NOT for £499 in my opinion.

Obviously I'm overreacting but surely you can see my point.

Anyway £599 is a decent price for a good TV and a 5 year warranty. Plus if you get some money off for a trade in then that's a bonus.

But voting cold for the misleading deal title.

I've got the 37" version of this set and PS3 and Bluray look fantastic.

Got this tv for the same price. Took a while to calibrate the picture, now fantastic picture hd or sd football. But after seing the samsung led 3d tv it might be worth waiting for a price drop as its non 3d picture is 100 times better.

Got this earlier today fom M&S at The Gyle in Edinburgh with the trade in offer - seems a great tv so far. Thanks for the post as I was going to order this online. Saved £100 taking an old tv into the shop and buying it. They had about 5 left.
