It's actually Full HD but the title is wrong. This is a good price when you take into account the 5 year warranty too but you can get it for £649.99 at Amazon. Heat added.

Doesn't have 5 year warranty at DIxons

No 5 year warranty at dixons though. Counts for a few quid on a big purchase like this surely?

Just pointing out that you could buy cheaper if price is more important, how many people actually keep a telly for 5 years anyway?

I believe it does but still a good set.

heat added, but it's getting a bit dated now, they need a new model, i mean new tech, not just eco stuff that they hang off the same panels etc

I guess there really is one born every minute  I buy QUALITY sets that are expensive BUT last for ever. My current TV was the top of the range at the time and cost over £1300 eight years ago, its only CRT but its often mistaken for a HD LCD due to its clarity. Although I'd love to upgrade it to a 42" theres just no justification, I have yet to see an LCD/ Plasma that can beat it unless its running SkyHD (which I refuse to pay for on principal) or BlueRay (which is another industry con as Im not re-buying my DVD collection).

I guess either Im just prudent or perhaps you're just loaded (and we all know the theory of a fool and their money ). Horses for courses I suppose but Im sure you could find a better use for £3000?????
