The televison itself is £800 at Amazon with a 3 year warrenty. Dont Understand Why Its Cold, Latest Televison with FreesatHD, 1080p 100hz and the latest blu ray player with wireless bd-live abilty.

Comments please, as I just purchased this deal thinking it was excellent as I did alot of shoping around. Much better then the 5500 and 5710 deals. Which maybe ppl are voting cold because the think its the lower tv model and lower blu ray whch was posted recently. IT IS NOT, these are the LATEST

The Televison is cheapest I can find £800 at Amazon 3 Year Warrenty.

The Blu Ray Player, Cheapest I can fnd is £234 at RGB

Together, £1034, for the latest tv and blu ray from sony. From cheapest sources with 2 years less warrenty.

Yet £849.99 for Both is not a good deal? LoL

heat added, taken it up from freezing point.

Seems a cracking deal. There are some other bluray and tv deals on offer, but don't know how it compares.

Have some heat, it looks like you deserve it!

I was looking for this model in 37" and the best price I could find over the last 3-4 weeks was approx. £750.00, so an extra £100 for a 'Sony' Blue Ray isn't bad, even if it is a trade in. And most people can find an old tv knocking about somewhere.

I think the spec for this model is brilliant - it is the 'W' series after all. Plus, factor in what freesat will cost you to buy it separately (and without having an additional ugly box to accommodate) and it starts to look like a good deal. If you're in the market for a Blue Ray as well, that is.

Personally, I wasn't looking for a Blue Ray and ordered a 37" W5500 today from Sainsburys for £584.99 - and it's being delivered tomorrow! Would have definitely preferred the W5810 but couldn't justify the extra cost.

Whatever anyone thinks about the deal, you've made an excellent choice in my opinion. Enjoy.

Hi,

First time posting, how do i add heat to you?

I think this is the best sony deal i have seen ive been looking for a new tv for the last 4 weeks and was going to hold on till xmas sales! but i have just rung my local sony shop and there open till 8pm.

Allthough they have the offer at £999, there only trading in £100 on it, but im sure they must have that wrong, well find out soon.

i work at a sony centre. we dont have this exact deal on our estate. where abouts are you from Sackboysnake87?

im in southampton and our deal is the KDL-40W5810 (5 year warranty) and BDP-S560 blu ray player for £899 after trade in. seems pretty good but not all sony centres will be participating in this.

although rumour has it that the deal i just mentioned may well be down to 799 at xmas ;-)

I went into Manchester Arndale Sony Centre, and was amazed at the deal. I went on a hunch, as i just returned a faulty samsung b650 to costco for £770 cash.

I seen the deal, and asked the manager if they had any in stock. He said we owe 10 and no delivery till wednesday. So I said ok, I will be in tomorrow and purchase for stock on wednesday. I Got home wanting it for this weekends football, so I called Sony Centre online, and asked the person at the desk. She checked all local sony centres offers and said to me

That is a great deal, other stores are doing that deal for a more expensive price.

However, she told me they do the deal in trafford centre.

I called trafford centre at 9pm last night, and the man in charge was very helpful and polite. He said he would have 25 coming in on Friday, but 8 are already spoken for as there going like hot cakes.

I went to see the manager today early, purchased and will be picking it up tomorrow.

I doubt it will go down to £799 for XMAS tbh, if it does fair play £50 cheaper. However, the lower models in Sony Centre were around £900 without the blu ray and freesat and bravia engine 3.

I Already had a PS3 for Blu Ray, But fealt for £50 more for a BLU-Ray they are selling for £326 is epic.

HOWEVER, I do know that lets be honest its not worth £326 but its worth easily £200 or more maybe. It is the latest one, with wireless bdlive. I am waitng to test the BluRay player and ps3 to see if blu ray is better then I will keep it or flog it.

Haha, Cool

I wanted to swap the Blu-Ray player for a home cinema set well just speakers really or that stand with speakers. That looks immense.

Sadly no go, wonder how much cex would give me for the blu-ray.... ebay is a waste of time tbh.

Thanks for the reply, added rep.

I take it that you work at a Sony branch, would it be possible to swap the blu-ray player for a Hard drive dvd recorder and pay the extra cost? Or would that be cheeky  :whistling: ?

Found the same deal ( KDL-40W5810 (5 year warranty) and BDP-S560 ) last weekend from Debenhams in Oxford Street, London for £900 after old TV trade in offer + further 10% off that weekend = £810. Went to nearest Debenhams in Lakeside Shopping centre to buy it, but I didn't knew they don't have Home entertainment department there. Checked with Sony Centre in Lakeside and they price matched for the same offer of £810 for KDL-40W5810 (5 year warranty) and BDP-S560 Bluray player after trade in. So, in my opinion individual Sony Centres are willing to negotiate to offer/match better deals.

The deal has now changed.

Includes the following if you trade in a portable tv, for £799;

40W5810
Freesat dish and installation
S&P stand
BDPS560 BluRay player
5 years guarantee
