£650 at Currys:

£400 at Argos:

I recommend reserving and printing out your reserve to show Currys, also check Currys has stock before making a trip

VAT back too...

D00nhamer
VAT back too...

not on this TV (as far as I'm aware, 401 is last year's model)
#4
cant find it in stock in Argos anywhere
#5
Don't buy from CURRYS .... I did buy a TV from there, 6 months later I was in court waiting for CURRYS to turn up ....

You will never come across worse Customer Service than that delivered from the DSGi Group of companies - avoid all of them is my recommendation!

Not the best TV for the Money, even at £375. Can get Better Samsung's or Tosh's for that price.

The 401 model is awful in my opinion, even at this price, but not going to vote cold, might be useful for people on a budget :)

South West - Plymouth. Exeter, St Austell in stock (1 each shop)

Prefer 403 or 503 if budget is not a constraint

Hot deal.
There's no doubt the W series are much better but you'll do well to get a 40" quality branded LCD for cheaper than this.

Have you got a 401? or any other Sony LCD?

I bought a 401 for the kitchen, I'm not on a budget and ive already got a few sony LCD's including a big W series. I can honestly say for the money this television is absoultey brilliant, the built in media player is great, just pop in your USB pen or hard disc and off you go, no need for DVD/Blu- Ray player etc

Yeah its not as good as the W series but it cost 5 times less than when i bought mine.

If you want to speng less than £400 and want a 40" quality TV buy this, the other brands never match up to SONY....

just got a 37kdl- 503 for my bedroom n it's awful, even the wife reckons so. picture is very cloudy because of the backlight, very very dissappointed with my first lcd.
considering i've got a pioneer kuro downstairs, i think my eye's ave been corrupted nevertheless, i would recommend the panasonic- 42G20B.

Excellent reviews on REEVOO

I tried to price match this instore but they would have none of it!
Even though I had one reserved locally!

In the end I managed to get one price matched over the phone but because Argos charge a bit more for delivery the price that Currys will do it for is £381.64.

I asked them first if they had any in stock. When they said that they had, I confirmed that they price match and give 10% of the differerence. Then I hit them with the Argos price (I looked at argos stock within a 30 mile radius to ensure they had stock). They have to honour this as Argos is one of the stores they price match with. I went to the Newport store first but didn't ask if they had any in stock, I just said about the Argos price - after he spoke to the manager, miraculously they didn't have any in stock. They showed me the stores that had stock, one of which was Cardiff, so I went there and told them that the Newport branch had told me to go there as they had it in stock, which they confirmed and phoned the warehouse to reserve it for me, then I hit them with the price match - RESULT !!!
