Latest 40" Sony TV, What HiFi rates this TV as four stars but many comments say it is as good as the 40W4500.

Best price I have seen online yet! Tempted!!

Dixons product code: 736730, also use the £15 off voucher.

Do you get the 3 year warranty with this deal though?

This is a good offer with 3 year warranty!!! Delivered free too. You would probably need a stand too.

Richer Sounds are £879 with 1 year warranty.

Do dixons still do quidco too at 5%?

No idea why it has been voted so cold. This model has 100hz refrsh and an impressive 100000-1 contrast ratio.

I dont think the other link offers more than a 1 year warranty. Also its not a firm I know.

Voting hot!

The 3 year warranty is being offered by Sony. You have to complete form and send back the receipt from where you bought it too - so i am led to understand - so it doesnt matter where you buy it from?

Yes i saw that document on Dixons site. Unfortunately RS wont price match unless 5 yr warranty. :(

Is this TV as good as the old model? Need to read a few reviews. I dont think the last model ever went below around £800.

£820 here. So not such a hot offer and this offers a 4 year warranty. Although delivery is £35. So £855 in total.

Ive already posted that deal - unfortunately it also went cold very quickly for some reason

Was reading the What Hifi review. The model got 4 out of 5 due to greying issues. It appears this model does not meet up with the previous W4500 model.

Even for What hifi that is saying something. Although The Bravia Engine 3 might solve this issue. I might wait for the other series to come down in price. My bulky 28" wide screen still works. :whistling:
