Looking for a new telly and saw this deal instore at the Sony Shop in Portsmouth. Seems like a pretty good deal. Online at £949 with the blue ray player. Instore for £899 but £100 off if you trade in anything that looks like a telly, working or not. New 5 year guarantee direct from Sony. Built in freesat. Not found any reviews as this is a new model

I was lucky enough to get the KDL-40W5710 from John Lewis for £599.99 using their price match option and the £100 trade in offer which has now expired but a colleague of mine managed to get it for £499.99 from them about a month before using price match and trade in. What I'd suggest if you have a JL nearby is to find shops selling it cheaper and they'll price match it. Oh yeh they also give a 5 year guarantee on all their tv's too

I have a John Lewis 200 meters from my house, but why should i bother to get them to price match it? Its available now from the Sony shop. John Lewis would have to order it in, also are they going to price match the Bluray player bundle as well?

JL price matching is very hit or miss...by the time JL get back to you with their excuses of why they can't match the price, the offer you wanted has expired.
