Absolute bargain for an amazing TV. I've just bought one today and it's superb. Top reviews from all the right places. The sound is really wholesome and rich - something people are often sceptical about on thin TV's.

Price is for O2 customers using £50 off when spending over £500. You can also get £80 for the sound bar on eBay if not needed bringing the price down to £389!!!!

Use O2 priority for an extra £30 off.

Actually scrap the above, apologies!

Nice tv, great find op, heat added :)

Got this for 399 as a refurb a while ago, considering the addition of a sound bar this is an unreal deal for a new one.

Excellent tv, also really low input lag for the type of TV so magic for games.

As I don't really want 3d, is this still a bargain?, or would I get a better non-3d for this price?
#6
Was looking at the 50" version of this, suppose to better at 800hz as opposed to this one which is 400hz processing.
But seeing as the 50" is £729, over £200 more I wonder if its worth it.
Heat to the OP though great deal.

I thought exactly the same as you. But then I saw this at this price. I suppose it's future proof. That's my thinking. I considered this one at £399 (with £30 O2) without 3D -

if u have a friend or family member who's on O2 then u can download the O2 priority app and log in with their phone number. The code is within the app. Alternatively get a free O2 sim! Easy

Not necessarily, I was able to provide the code no problem (colleague gave me his).

1. Vary rarely do u watch SD nowadays. And if u do, why would u buy a HD TV?!

2. Watching films from USB will never be the best way to watch stuff.

To give an opposing view, I see no judder at all (SD or HD) and have played HD movies from usb with zero issues. Also the picture quality is fantastic.

If you can spare the extra it's worth it.

Can anyone tell me if there is any truth in the input lag of the remote I've been hearing about these sets? Heard it can sometimes take up to 3 seconds for a key press to respond.
#31
What's the input lag like for gaming with a PS4 and what are the inbuilt apps like to use?
#32
Not sure if it's worth the £50 more buying from Tesco and getting the 5 year warranty? From what I've heard Currys have crap customer service?

Either way voted hot, great price.

I own this TV, got the same deal when it was £550, it's a brilliant TV. Great for football, movies, games and standard def. I really can't fault it. I've not tried the 3D much, but note that his model has a passive panel.

The only annoyance is the input select on start-up. You have to wait about 15-20 seconds before you can actually select a different input channel to the last one used before the TV was switched off. I live with it because everything else about the TV is so good.

I believe this TV has one of the lowest input lags for games out of any TV on the market. It was one of the reasons I bought it. In-built apps work fine, as long as Sony doesn't get hit by DDOS attacks, at which point they all disappear. That's happened once or twice.

The remote even has a Netflix button, which is very handy if you're a subscriber. I use both that, Amazon Prime and iPlayer quite a lot.

I'm not an expert here, but based on previous research, I believe they're almost identical, the W7 having no 3D.

you don't have to deal with currys. if you need use warranty deal direct with sony.

By the way JL are selling it for 539 - I assume they will price match if pestered nicely :D - and surely their 5 year guarantee and much better customer service trumps the possible 50 discount via the O2 priority thing - no?
