Whilst this sounds like a good deal, I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy a new tv with a PS2 built in, rather than a PS3. No wonder Richer Sounds now have their hands on these as most stores are probably having real difficulty shifting these.

It *is* a good deal for a tv and games console together, but I cannot understand why Sony would build in a previous model console.

The last brand new stand alone PS2 I purchased cost me all of £20 which makes the tv part here £175.95 i.e too much for a 22" lcd tv. Not voted either way.

maybe because it is the worlds best selling console , has the largest calalog of games and also plays DVD's.
plus it only uses another 5 watts ontop of a plain old dvd player.
seems like genius idea to me.

Wonder if they will bring out a newer model with larger screen like 32"/40" with 1080P with the PS2/PS3 fixed on the back. Be aware that BBC iPlayer is no longer supported on this.

Its actually not that bad a deal i nearly got one today for the little ones room i mite still tomorrow bravia 3 engine,so very up to date and ive got loads of singstars with mics that can still be of use.only negative regarding the post was on here less than a month ago where it was over 2000°

Picked one up today and it is one cool tv. Ive plugged in my consoles via hdmi and picture quality is good, not as good as 1080p though. Only bought this one as it had a hell load of features such as internet, bravia engine 3 and 3 usb ports. The ps2 will be used for san andreas only. And yes there is no bbc iplayer but i dont have a problem because its available on ps3. According to tastes i would say its well worth the money.

i got one today, very pleased loads of features and helped clear my desk of all sorts of devices used so i could play my ps2 and megadrive and watch tv through my monitor. now just got to flog some of them

I think its a brilliant idea myself, as a retro enthusiast, my desk has got NES, SNES, N64, PS1, and all other old consoles on it. By getting this TV i get a ps2 as well which means i can clear some space from my desk
