I have a 720p Sony 32" set in my kitchen and the picture is excellent (not this set, but the older S Series)

I wouldn't see it as a negative on a set this size :)

I'm just going to agree with you without going into the facts, as I always seem to get the 1080p brigade firing all guns in my direction...

For those with a genuine need for 1080p at this size (for example, doubling up as a PC monitor), this is a rather nice set for under £285 -

true, 1080p can be an advantage or disadvantage......more to move and will look rubbish if the spec is poor

They have 6 of these (at the time of posting) at Amazon Warehouse for £187 to £197 - all customer returns so a bit of a risk.....
