Not a bad price but £40 more and get the 40" (below)... Also very worth considering paying the extra and getting the 403... Better bravia engine and many more features, plus the trim at the bottom is nicer. worth the extra

[rant]...but what if you only want a 37"? Not getting @ you personally, MrPremium, but whenever a deal for one size of TV is posted someone always says 'For £x more you could get the (bigger size) inch...'.[/rant]
Voted hot, it's the size I want (40" would look ridiculous in my living room & wouldn't fit in the only available TV shaped gap (_;)) & it's £40 cheaper than anywhere else I can find...

How about the people who may benefit from hearing of a larger TV for a small premium? If it can benefit some, why not mention it?

Sorry DaveTaylor & MrPremium, you're right, if you're in the market for a slightly larger TV than in the offer someone pointing out a similar deal for bigger is good.

My apologies for going off on one...

I think you should definitely pay a little extra and get the 40".

I love my 37" Sony. It's the size I wanted and is the perfect size for the room.

And don't forget that you're supposed to measure the viewing distance and then calculate the screen size that's suitable!

Bigger isn't always better guys!!

If you find a bigger size at a good price then post it as a new deal surely?!

Sorry, this item is out of stock in your area. Please remove it from your basket and choose an alternative.

Not 100% sure but are 37" Sony TV's slightly poorer than there other TV's. something to do with they do not make panels for 37" TV's and buy them in from elsewhere???

Somebody may want to correct me....

I gotta agree with mypremium there. It is a direct like-with-like comparison too so I don't think thing about a different TV is the issue like on the 22" sony deal where someone posted about a 26" technika which was laughable.

When you get to a certain threshold an extra 10% of whatever isn't going to be an issue and its not like 3" difference will truly be 'too big' for your living room or whatever.

Here's a chart for optimal viewing distances for Full H.D. & H.D. Ready Sony sets - surprising short. 1.3m a 32", 15m for a 37", etc ....

I bought this TV and took it straight back. The viewing angles are very poor, and the thing looks horrible on the wall. It also uses the 400x400 mounts not the smaller ones so that confuses things a bit. Plus its very slow changing from sources.

get the 403 not the 401 as it has freeview hd built in. its worth the upgrade.
