Might want to add the model # to the title.

Pretty good deal though.

Anyone think its worth getting this one over the Sony 100hz model kdl37ex503?
Got £400 worth of nectar points to spend on a tv - thinking of this one.

I was in a Sony shop at the weekend and asked about the new model(s) with Google TV installed.

I was told they are expected in 4 - 6 weeks

Hot! Was going to get a 32" for the lounge until I heard that F1 will be HD this year.

Just got to convince SWMBO that we need it!

does this player iplayer in 720p HD like sammys do?
#12
Just to let you know, I'm one of the lucky ones who got the TV with free bluray player and VAT back from Bestbuy before christmas. The picture on the TV is fantastic compared to my LG 32 it is replacing, blacks are great colours great no noticeable motion blur. All the network stuff is great like iplayer, youtube and the other stuff.Divx from usb is great too The buzz on power up... well if I hadn't of read about it, I wouldn't of noticed it. It lasts less than a minute, and isn't loud. I would describe it more like the sound of a very quiet hard disk spinning up at power up. Great price, great TV.... shame you won't be getting the free Sony Blu ray player like we did tho, but still a brilliant deal. If people say the 40inch screen is loads better, it must be stunning! cos I can't see any fault with this one!

I bought the 40" version from Richer Sounds at the weekend for £399, with an extra £10 off with a VIP voucher (sign up free online and print the voucher out).

richersounds and other stores had this television for £299 a couple of weeks ago. worth a check at your nearest richersounds stores :)
#15
was £299 a couple of weeks ago. you might be able to pick one up at richersounds if they have them still in stock.

there was none left in my area so i ordered a similar television. the 401u version. its the same but hasn't got the internet and HD Freeview.

LG - please tell me you're taking the p**s?

I've had problems with this model due to the buzzing noise, sent first one back to John Lewis, replacement is just the same, annoying. I believe it seems the 37" models are affected but others are ok.

What's to say the current internet tv range won't get a firmware update to support it?
#24
Bought the 40" version of this tv for £395.99 from Makro yesterday. Well worth the extra £16 quid in my opinion.

The fact sony seem to not add features to older rangers much. Would be nice.. but not expecting miracles.

Got the 40inch myself and so far like it. Still trying to figure out best picture quality calibration. I also need a surround system but can't find any relatively cheap ones,

The buzz isn't noticeable unless u r watching the tv on mute (I guess).
Heat added!!!!!!

bestbuy are currently doing the 40 inch for £400, and quidco is 20% just now, so £320 delivered.

Bit harsh HK! Unfortunately some people will still have a budget to stick to.

I know I did. And tv choice is also usually down to the person.

I've just bought a Sony KDL40NX703. Might not be to everyones liking, but I'm happy with it.

So if all us HotUKdeal peeps are happy with whatever telly we've bought then that's all that matters :D

i got one in November and haven't had any problems - well actually, iplayer stopped working on it, it says make sure updates are turned on, and they are, but it just doesn't update or work now, which is disappointing, although i don't use that feature much.

I tried to notify Sony of this problem through their website, you had to click on what you were emailing them about, so i selected iplayer and it said - we are not accepting emails about this atm, so i selected pretty much every other option, youtube, eurosport etc and it all said the same! absolutely ****.

The tv itself is great though and would recommend

far easier to connect your pc to the tv and use that version of iplayer etc - haven't used the iplayer/ five on demand etc built into my sony since buying it - they are never as good as the pc versions
#35
got 37ex503 @500 with vat back so this is not bad considering the difference btn the 2 models is 100hz.
beefs with the 503 hmmm(_;) i've got a kuro downstairs and in retrospect i should have gone for the panny tx- 42G20B. The 503 in my opinion is borderline average in terms of pic quality and features compared to the G20 and i would sell it heartbeat and go for the panny (with all it's supposedly issues) if i could get the right price for it.

Not acording to most reviewers and what hifi...if you can get a panny G20 for £500 i doubt i very much Sony allthe way and by the way 100hz make a huge difference also other sensor extra's on the 503.
