This isn't a great price considering its only 720p...

I would personally pay a bit extra for 1080p.
I got a 42" Toshiba Regza 1080p for £480 in Currys. Thats a good deal!!

Is it not a 1080i?

As this TVs screen resolution is 1366x768, 1080i can only be achieved by down-scaling.

Does anyone know when the Samsung LN46A750 will be available in the UK.

full DLNA support and streams loads of file formats, unlike the sony proprietary DLNA in the KDL XXw4500 which is by all accounts rubbish.

1080i is marketing garbage to trick people into buying 720p screens.

Always annoys me when people get hung up on the lack of 1080p on TVs less than 40".

1080p a waste of time on TV of this size unless you are going to sit less than 6 feet from it. No point buying unnecessary functionality. Voted hot.

None in my local ASDA. They did have the 32" version for £430 though. Was yours a managers special or somethign like that?

Yet more marketing rubbish. I can tell the difference from over 10 feet. Maybe 720p is good enough for your personal needs but don't go believing the lie that the difference is unobservable.
