I am on the market for the 40" version but have come across this today. I believe that this is a good deal for someone who does not mind 50000:1 vs 100000:1 contrast.

looks like a £550 tv over priced by £200 to pay for the bluray to me


It's a £695 tv with a £99 bluray and a 5yr warranty so hot!

The cheapest TV set only is at £ 694 with 3 years warranty. Here you get 5 plus the Blu-Ray player.

The price is for online purchase with three years warranty without the BluRay player. The in store price is not obvious.

OK, I will call them tomorrow for the 40" version. If that were the in store price I will post here.

The Shop Mode might mean that the TV brightness is pumped to the max whence the consumption. At home no one needs a lighting bulb so the power is reduced. This is only my take on it.

£695 when other similar tv's from other companies are £550 or a lot less so cold
Plus you can get a 50" tv for that price and i don't expect any small difference in the picture quaility would make up for the 13" smaller picture

Get your reading glasses on that is for the lesser spec SONY KDL37V5810 37" not the KDL37W5810 37 which is the next model up":oops: read closer next time

This is hot for this model although probably too late to save the thread now due to careless or ill informed posts
